I had an antique rocking chair upholstered by Crawford. The upholstery was fine and I was really pleased with the covering of the back of the chair. The overall effect of the chair was as I had pictured it but on closer inspection the braid finishing left much to be desired. First of all, the braid was put on the opposite of the way I'd asked for, that was corrected but there were parts of the braid that had not been secured, the finishing was not the same on both sides, the braid didn't sit straight and overall not the precise detail it should have been.The rocking chair has huge sentimental value and I paid a lot of money to get it done up but I am gutted that it was not finished to the same level as the actual upholstery. Helen has tidied up some of the braid as best as she can for me, which was much appreciated, but I am really upset that the whole job wasn't done to the high standard I expected.Great Helpful friendly staff. Recently had our old armchair recovered and some small jobs done by Crawford Hunter Upholstery. Fantastic job done of a seat back from my motorbike. Black faux leather repair/replacement pieces matched perfectly with original surround. Did not have expense of fully replacing seat as very reasonable price for repair completed and looks like new now so very pleased. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again. Thanks guys.
