It's a very nice gift shop with friendly staff that will tell you the whole history of the creation and construction of Kelpies There is multimedia showing how that was going some miniatures showing how it compared to world monuments even some awesome Lego miniature! There is a caffeshop too with good and fresh coffee and tea.

Unfortunately things were closing as we arrived at The Kelpies, but The Horsebox Cafe was still open and serving ice cream. We all got a treat and enjoyed it in the shadow of the Kelpies while also enjoying the view of the canals and the boats around. The ice cream was good. I can really only remember when it's horrible and this was not, but the highlight was the scenery!

Modest little cafe with a strip of outdoor space in prime position to enjoy the Kelpies plus a shop with sundries and souvenirs. The female staff members were all smiles and happy to help an obvious tourist. The cold drinks on a hot day were much appreciated.
