What can I say, we have been supportive of Blakeshouse since it opened and have always had amazing food, service. On Saturday afternoon I had a semi surprise 60th birthday, my daughter had given Catriona a brief of what I like, and Catriona knows what I like, the spread was amazing. Everyone loved the food and Murray and Kelsey was so lovely delivering drinks and making sure we were happy with everything. Also all our partners were fully fed and watered in the bar area. Thank you all so much especially all in the kitchen providing the food. Xxx

Food was very tasty we orderedStarters -: coconut chicken strips , soup of the day(Broth) , Kids Cullen skink , kids garlic bread,Mains :-Adult fish n chips , kids Fish n chips and adult Thai red chicken curryDessert:-Sticky toffee puddingMillionaire cheesecakeKids Candy sundaeThe food was excellent really tasty and portion size was good. The only thing I feel could be added was the kids Fish n chips came with no vegetables. It would be nice to have had the same option for this as was with the adults fish. An option of side salad or peas would have been great. As the kids plate looked very bare. That is the only reason I have dedicated one star for the food.Equally it would be nice to maybe see an addition of an option of cheese/pate and biscuits to the dessert options.Note that the sticky toffee pudding came with a lovely amount of toffee sauce. Which was great as to often restaurants skimp on the toffee sauceWe will certainly be back.Kid-friendliness: Staff were very friendly engaging with the kids and having so jokes. It?s always great to see that the kids are not ignored.

From start to finish at Blakes it was fantastic! Sandra and Murray are a credit to this place. They are so helpful and friendly. We had a carvery meal and it was just delicious. We were a party of 8 and all 3 courses were clean plates!! It?s a great atmosphere too. We can?t wait to come back ?

On a last minute decision while at the caravan site we decided to try the restaurant and went to book table for the carvery. The chap that took the booking was very helpful and a cheery chap ? We ordered the two course carvery and wasn't disappointed at all, I had starter of breaded mushrooms with garlic dip and they were so tasty and fresh. My hubby chose the dessert option instead of starter and had sticky toffee pudding and said it was to die for ! We had the carvery with gammon and roast silverside and the meat melted in your mouth, the veg was tasty and omg the Skirlie, well I can only say it was the best we had in a long time ! Non of this sage n onion rubbish some places call stuffing just pure Scottish Skirlie ? And to cap it all the barmaid and waitresses was was fantastic and so polite and always smiling ? Compliments to the Chef and chicken staff for a beautiful meal ? Will definitely be back !!!!!

Hi I haven?t stayed here but visited the restaurant tonight and lovely place and food was very nice and very reasonable priced, but there was one member of staff very rude and should definitely not be working in the restaurant, we was greeted by her and shown our table not a smile or even a hello was just given our menus and never mentioned the specials and had to ask with a grumpy reply! Placed order that was fine and received our food which was very nice and when we finished our main course we wanted to order a desert but we waited over 15/20 minutes and no one came to ask if we would like anything else so we gave up and went to the bar to pay our bill, but while we was waiting in the que to pay there was a elderly man speaking to this rude waitress and I felt I should of said something as the way she was speaking to him was disgusting and she was shaking her head and tuts come from her and the poor man eventually got what he was requiring and passed myself and my partner and he shock his head is disgust they way he was treated and myself and my partner said if she talked to us like that we would of walked out. We finally got a nice man that came and took our payment for our meal and asked if we didn?t have room for a desert and I said we would of loved a desert but got fed up waiting for anyone to serve us. All I can say it was lovely and enjoyed it and I will be definitely be back but I hope this certain women waitress has been spoken to as she can not treat customers like that and really needs to learn some manners!!!

Firstly, the restaurant is not signposted from the main road or even in caravan park, but it is next to the main reception of Greenwood Loch so just keep following the road and reception signs. For driving directions you need to use ?Greenwood Loch?, and come off A98 directly. DO NOT follow Google if it shows you a route accessing directly from the south as that is a farm track! Once you reach the caravan park reception you will then see the second building just beyond and this is the restaurant. It is a new build wood structure with outlook over the small activity pond where they do paddle board and such. There is a large children?s play area behind the restaurant and nice surroundings with some outdoor seating if you want to spend some time before or after meal. The Sunday carvery was very good value £16.50 for 3 courses. Cullen skink soup excellent although let down by being served with a half slice of cheap sliced white bread. Why not a crusty roll? Main course carvery roast was lovely, veg and roast potatoes perfect. Dessert was apple crumble and vanilla custard (very good) but the crumble on top was soggy as if it had been refrigerated and the apple sauce had soaked into it. It tasted good but a shame to be let down on that point. Sticky toffee pudding my father-in-law said was good. Lovely staff and nice fresh decor inside and out. They also do takeaway but didn?t look at that menu. Overall a wee gem of a place for decent honest food at a fair price. Would happily visit again. £72 for 4 people including a round of soft drinks. **Dog friendly** well behaved dogs welcome in the Lounge Bar where meals can be taken. Our greyhound lay next to our table and was no trouble for staff, they were happy to step round her big gangly legs. Well done Blakeshouse for making her feel at home.

Enjoyed a delicious meal on a Saturday night, the place was fairly busy but the service was quick. Good menu and drinks choices. Our young waitress was fab, really efficient with good banter. It was dark so couldn?t fully appreciate the setting but looks beautiful. Will definitely be recommending to friends.

Been a few times and can't fault anything. First time we had our dog with us and he loved being centre of attention and the second time took parents out for a carvery. 3 courses for £16.50 each and the best meal we have had out in years. Would highly recommend ? perfect Parking: Plenty parking spaces available
