Doctors that work at the practice are great couldn?t say the same for the receptionists. No clue as to why they are so rude and uptight, treat people as if they?re wasting their time even though its their job

refused to do blood tests and do shared care with Gender GP, and refused to rethink this decision too, which was extremely disappointing and exclusionary

The receptionists here are extremely rude. It?s appalling to see how they treat international students in particular.

Extremely poor service and the lady who handles the calls is very very rude. I called for an appointment and they said I?d get a call back from the doctor. I did not receive any calls, I called back 2-3 more times complaining I didn?t receive any calls and she started to tell me they?ve made the call and it?s my fault I don?t get them. I ensured her I have not received any call and I?m in need of urgent help and if she could just connect me to someone that would really help me. She said she can?t help me cause it?s ?my fault my phone didn?t receive calls?. I told her I?m in pain and asked if she can just connect me to the ANY doctor or give me another appointment or if I can come in the next day or if there?s just anything I can do because it?s not past hours and this is my GP office She said it?s not on her and started shouting at this point that they don?t have time to ?waste on me?. As an international student it?s quite difficult to navigate an entire new health service and if those in jobs to help you, refuse to do so the bare minimum, the situation gets worse. Please stop hiring staff with the zero empathy or people skills to be your receptionist when you work in healthcare.

it?s a really busy practice and i can imagine there?s a lot of pressure on the staff but everyone i?ve encountered has been really lovely and have helped me get the right treatment for my symptoms very quickly !!

Appalling medical practice. I registered with them before the semester started and could not book any appointments (only same day appointments if I called right on 8:30am each day; they have no future appointment system which is disgraceful). Today, I really needed to see someone and they claimed to have no record of me - due to a clerical error, they put in my wrong date of birth. In order to be get medical attention possibly tomorrow, I was asked to re-register because I had changed medical practice a few weeks ago (due to sheer desperation), AND then to CALL BACK TOMORROW. If you are reading this, please don't waste your time (and your wellbeing) attempting to get medical care from this place.

I called twice about an extremely sore throat (along with other symptoms) and both times the clinician dismissed me and wouldn?t even book me for an appointment. Told me to just take painkillers. Said it was probably just a virus without even examining me. I wasn?t convinced so I went to a pharmacy and paid for a test, turns out I have strep. Untreated strep can be dangerous, I?m very unhappy with how dismissive and condescending the clinicians here are! Wouldn?t have been that hard to give me a test, even if it was just be on the safe side. I?m glad I didn?t listen to them!

Turned up at 10:30ish receptionist managed to squeeze me in on the day for 2:30. Turned up early and as I was waiting some guy turned up super late completely missed his appointment and was rlly rude to the receptionist? for his own mistake ???? sucks they have to deal with that but handled it best they could. The Doctor I saw Scott was super friendly, knows his stuff and I got my prescription no problem!?

It's a really busy place, but if you call in during the morning, usually you get a call back quite quickly. If needed you will be called in for an in person exam. The doctors have always been very friendly and took the time to discuss my issues, and usually found a solution. The front desk staff seems overworked sometimes, but with the new caller queue, calling in will be less of a hassle.I was also provided a quick referral to an expert for diagnosis, unfortunately they had a 2-year wait for all NHS patients due to underfunding.

Often rude, condescending service from both receptionists and GPs. Been struggling with various issues and have to phone everyday at 8:30am, just to be told there are no appointments, or it's emergency only, and to call back the next day. It gets tiring... just to receive a 5 minute phone call as an "appointment" which doesn't actually address my issues at all. I'll be changing GPs asap.

If you are a student needing a GP avoid this surgery. If you take medication or have other pre-existing conditions AVOID this surgery. The staff and GPs themselves are usually nice and friendly, but the surgery itself is extremely oversubscribed and they don?t take anyone seriously.Refused to provide me with medication on more than one occasion, took over THREE MONTHS to provide me with a letter stating that I have long-term diagnosed conditions, delaying the process for me to receive Disability Support from the University, then incorrectly stated in the letter that my conditions had only started Sept 2021.I requested an MRI or a head scan for my condition, the GP said I didn?t need one so I pressed for one and got told ?fine, I guess I can refer you for a CT scan but I doubt anything will come of it? (turns out i have a brain malformation, lol).I would recommend ANY other GP in the area: Radnor Street Surgery, Sandyford Surgery, Abingdon Medical Practice. This surgery is a joke.

I had an excellent experience with the University branch of this GP practice. No problems getting an appointment after getting through on the phone. Everyone was friendly and very professional from the reception staff to the clinician I spoke to. Thank you to everyone who works there.

I?ve been helped by the practice multiple times now from mental, physical, and medical help. I?ve felt reassured and listened to each visit and given help that?s helped me heal and improve my issues. I?ve rarely had issues getting an appointment, and when it was urgent they found ways to see me.

I?ve had to use this practice a couple of times and the last time I went I left so frustrated and appalled by the behavior of this office and especially the doctor I saw. Firstly, don?t get me started on front desk staff. They are so unhappy, I don?t even know why they bother working there. It?s like seeing the little wrinkly creatures that Ursula keeps trapped in her cave. Same level of pathetic but add a little more bitterness. For 6 yrs of my life I have been diagnosed with PCOS. I?ve been struggling a lot lately and the symptoms were so bad that I felt desperate and called in for an appointment. When I got there, the female doctor that I was seeing was immediately hostile towards me and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I told her about my symptoms, my previous diagnosis, and how I would like to get a blood panel done to see if my hormones were out of balance. She said, AND I QUOTE ?if you have a diagnosis already, than why do we bother with blood work? That would be a waste of our time?.I tried to explain to her that in the past my hormones being out of balance is what caused my symptoms and I was put on medication until it leveled out again. She CLEARLY is super uninformed of PCOS because she still held to the fact that it was a waste of her time to do a blood panel if I already knew what I had. She then told me to just get birth control. Like Excuse me? I was so frustrated and uncomfortable that I ended up leaving with no resolution and almost feeling? shamed.Make it make sense. If you have a cancer patient, who needed regular chemotherapy, you wouldn?t simply say ? well because you we already know you have cancer, it?d be a waste of our time to check if chemotherapy is doing anything for you, so we?re just going to stop?. Or if a patient has diabetes would you tell them ? nah we aren?t going to worry about checking your blood sugar because we already know you have diabetes?.No, you?d never say that unless you dug your degree out of a dumpster. After that I registered with a new GP who had obviously more brain cells dancing around, guess what??? MY TESTOSTERONE WAS OFF THE ROOF! Certainly not a waste of time after all. The new GP was actually DUMBFOUNDED by my treatment here and apologized because of how much this woman who claims to be a doctor could have made me suffer in silence due to her negligence and disgusting behaviour.Honestly, don?t go here. Especially if you are someone with a uterus.

refuse care for trans people under the guise of ?not having the expertise? yet do not take any action to get this expertise or find alternative solutions. leave transgender patients without care which can lead to them taking unsafe measures to achieve gender affirming care, or failing this can lead them to have extremely poor mental health due to their neglect of care.
