Kind and friendly staff. My auntie from Canada lost her purse with her cards etc inside and one of the women in the shop had found it and phoned to have it returned. Nice kept shop with good prices as well for anybody interested.

Great wee charity shop - large selection of stock for the size, staff are really helpful as well. Every time I've been in I've found something perfect for me or the person I'm with, I call it the magic charity shop!

I used to frequently shopand donate to this charity shop, sadly over the past six months the atmosphere has changed and does not feel welcoming any more, dosent help that some members of staff have an attitude that stinks.Items here have now doubled in price such as the books and clothing making it cheaper to buy many items that they sell cheaper to buy brand new.Thank donate here l throw the items in the bin or list them up for free on olio,I don't like to see people on a low income ripped off.

The best charity shop left in the west end. Very reasonable prices and the manager is excellent, she should be promoted, the loveliest manager I have ever dealt with. Well worth your time.

I love this shop and the findings I leave with often. The staff are nice and as volunteers, their hard work is much appreciated. However, today I was a bit disappointed. It was 4.40 when I walked in and the staff were shuffling about, yawning and musing about eating soon. Nothing wrong with that (though a tad unprofessional - speaking as an ex-bartender), but at 12 minutes to 5 they told me they're closing down the tills, which is not right. I had already picked out 4 books and was about to make further purchases, but I felt I had to interrupt myself and hurry up. I am happy if the closing time is 4.45, but seeing as it's later please stick to the time guys! Not worth braving the traffic and leaving work early.

I really felt like buying something just for fun one time we had lunch nearby, and luckily, I found this little gem after a two minute walk. I spent 6.5 pounds, and in return I got four books, two additional items to my workout gear collection, and the feeling that I got great value for such little money. The books cost even less than their Kindle version would have. I usually return every month or two, and I can't say I always find something Iove, but it is just really nice to browse through the clothes and books. There are also homeware items and postcards, just like in every charity shop - it will always be a bit of a gamble, but the chances are not bad.

Best charity shop in the area! It's up at thornwood so I imagine a lot of people miss it when they're doing the charity shops along dumbarton road (secret: it's just a few min walk along from the lights at crow road!) the staff are friendly, the quality of stock they have is brilliant and everything is affordable!! A great wee shop to find interesting bargains in,and good to know all my money is going to a valuable Scottish charity. Open on Sundays too apparently!

I was in here having a look around today. Every money goes to a good cause only reason I never gave 5 stars is that it's a charity shop. But it was a good looking one. Staff polite and cheap. It's worth keeping a constant eye on.

It's been quite a few months since my last visit to this store and since then they have had s modern revamp. The store now looks trendy & everything is neatly away in its place. Larger selection of clothing than before, and the back area has a large selection of household items. I bought some books & some glass ware, sadly there was no paper to wrap the glass, I was offered a bag but that was 5 pence. Not much use when I had a back pack with me. Still a good shop with a good book & DVD section.

Sitting deep in the darkest back woods of Glasgow's trenderiffic west end this and the surrounding charity shops refuse point blank to be dragged into the current vintage craze that's sweeping "retro stylee" throughout its peers further up the road. " no thank you sir, we have been doing things our way since way before your poor underprivelaged_______(insert needy people, animal, disease) even knew they needed help....and god dam it we will still be here doing the same thing when the good people of Glasgow realise that vintage shopping and vintage shops are ridiculously overpriced for what is essentially, dead peoples clothes."...thats what they would say...if shops could talk...yeah....coffee please garçon! So, anyway. This is a cracking wee shop that is as Marj says, stuck firmly in the 80's and is all the better for it. Filled with all the gear you would expect to find in a charity shop, this is a must if your hitting the charity shop trail in this area. Me likey.

The charity shops around here look like they've been trapped in a timewarp - travelling down this neck of the woods is like going back to the 80s! That's why I do it! I like these charity shops that don't try to be overly trendy, and just quietly get on with supporting their cause. I felt like this charity shop fell into this category - stock was in good condition and well displayed, but not tagged with "vintage" to follow the neverending West End trend for this kind of fashion. In a place like this, you feel like you're allowed to excavate for your own treasure, and in this establishment there were a lot of good quality clothes and interesting accessories to be found. There were a number of eyecatching ornaments and hidden gems waiting for the right home. I don't know if I've over done the charity shops recently, but this one tugged on my heart strings as there was a giftboxed packed with fridge magnets indicative to someone clearing out a person's house after they had passed on. I don't know what gave me that overwhelming feeling of loss but at times going around charity shops can be sad as you see the hobbies of someone else being expelled from their previous home to be enjoyed by someone else. Saying that, they are obviously donated so someone else can appreciate them, and it's comforting that such items are rehomed in good taste, for a good cause. Apologies for being morose....perhaps I should give the charity hunts a rest for a while. I'm not even sure what I'm looking for anymore, I've seen too much!! But as far as charity shops go, this one is very comprehensive and with appropriate information leaflets around the store, it reminds you of the cause it is concerned with.
