Saw online a battery I wanted. It said pick up in 1hr so I stupidly assumed they had them in stock. None available, was told this was an online only item, so after a bit of messing about, I was told it would be available after 10am tomorrow. I tried to order and when I put in all details and went to checkout, I was informed it was out of stock. If this is the future of shopping then counter out.

Popped in to ask if it were possible to remove my dash cam (which was purchased from Halfords) due to purchase of new car, which would mean the dashcam being fitted into new car. Two members of staff were on the payment desk at front door chatting. When I asked if they could do the job I was told it had to be booked in. I asked if it were possible for someone to do it tonight. The reply I received was this ? na I don?t think so , we are short staffed, we wouldn?t be able to do any fittings if I did the dash cam it takes an hour to do so then we can?t do a fitting and that is what we are targeted on ? so I?m other words you don?t want my business!! I left extremely disappointed, sat in the car outside the store. Then I witnessed another team member appear, so there we?re actually 3 people now at the payment desk. The chap I spoke with actually left his colleagues at the cash desk to do work on 2 customers cars (both jobs lasted approximately 10mins each). I?m left with the impression that you don?t want my custom as the staff member isn?t targeted on it. What is wrong with excepting my hard earned cash ? Missed sales opportunity for Braehead store here, 2 jobs . Clearly the staff member couldn?t be bothered. I don?t think anyone is in a position to turn down customers in the current climate.I am extremely disappointed.I look forward to hearing from you.Regards Margaret

Bought daughters first bike which I had built by the bike engineers. ordered a bell for it and they kindly fitted it for me on day of pick up daughter loves it. staff are really helpful as I needed stabilizers for sons bike but didn't no size I needed

Very poor show today at Halfords. I arrived to collect a bike. The attitude of the salesmen was really not good. A cue formed at the till. No urgency whatsoever. When our bike arrived I was given a safety check sheet that was signed off, but the handle bars were loose and the frame was not aligned.. Who deemed the bike to be safe ?

Booked in for their "32 point check" which transpired to be someone coming out to spend around 6 seconds looking at the bike from where they were standing (didn't even touch the bike). He then concluded it needed a £60 service. When I questioned why, I was not given a properly coherent answer. I wouldn't bother - it is just a scam to get you there with your bike, to charge you very expensive prices.Additionally might be helpful to those with mobility issues or heavy bikes to note that the bike area is upstairs and we were informed there were no lifts.Also note that a week after the bike had been taken to the booked appointment , I received an email cancelling my appointment - very strange.

Good you're able to physically view items, rather than online shopping.Staff very helpful with advice of products.I'm like a kid in a sweet shop at Xmas in a Halfords.Regular visitor and continue doing so!

My wife was shopping at M&S so I took the chance to browse in Halford. The shop was rather quite which wasn't particular surprising given the weather.The choice in Halford is comprehensive & the only problem I had was deciding my way around.If your a car cleaning enthusiast the choices seem endless, from relatively inexpensive to rather more than I wanted to spend.I would recommend Halford for variety & product range, it's definitely worth a visit evan if its only for a look around.

Service in store-fine.Checked website for stock -showing in stock.Travelled to store-none in stock!Ordered item at store for home delivery.The box was held together with brown tape and burst in places-clearly a return therefore not new.Refused the delivery.It's a disgrace to even attempt delivering a package in such a shambolic state.Waited for replacement......and waited....Eventually,due to frustration,I requested a refund.Not a good experience whatsoever.

Bought a child car seat. I'm disabled and the gentleman who served me was so helpful and considerate of my needs. He fitted the seat and made sure it was secure and showed me the features of it and how to adjust it. So grateful to him as it made my life so much easier. Great staff.

My husband parked up alongside a car outside halfords at Braehead.Opening his door at the drivers side, he touched the wing mirror of the car next to him very lightly incidentally, the driver in the car said 'just watch' I normally wouldn't make an issue but this boy has an attitude and the reason I've decided to draw this to your attention is, he works for you... We were going into your branch to make a purchase but due to his attitude, didn't!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!My recent experience at this store was quite disappointing.I had a slow puncture in my e-bike's rear tire, and since the tires were worn out, I decided to replace both of them. I booked an appointment on Halfords' website for Saturday at 9 am.However, the first issue arose as soon as I brought my bike into the store, as they initially refused to service e-bikes that weren't purchased from them. After a brief discussion, they agreed to fit the tires and promised they'd be ready by 4 pm.When I arrived at the store at 3:45 pm, I was informed that the work hadn't been completed and wouldn't be ready until the next day. I expressed my disappointment and asked if they could have called me to inform me of the delay, but I was told they were too busy. This was surprising, as there were only two customers and five staff members present at the time.Despite this setback, I agreed to return the following day, with a request for a call once the job was done. Since i again received no call, when I called at 2 pm on Sunday, I was informed that the work had been completed. However, upon inspecting the bike, I noticed that the rear tire still had a slow puncture, which I had specifically pointed out to them during my initial visit. I was frustrated by this oversight, but I had brought a foot pump with me, so I took care of it myself.Overall, my experience with this shop was quite disappointing, and I won't be using their services again. It's a shame that they treat their customers so poorly.
