“Maxwells Clarkston offers a fantastic range of craft beer, spirits and wines. The venue is licensed to enjoy any of the drinks on the premises. They also offer a selection of cocktails and crisps. They allow you to bring in food purchased from the local takeaway places nearby. Since December 2022 the new management have done amazing at making the place one of the best places in East Renfrewshire to enjoy a drink. It feels like a great community pub and is a focal point for the local residents of Clarkston. I'd highly recommend Maxwells Clarkston to anyone. Oh and they are dog friendly too! Don't forget to ask for a wee treat for your furry friends.”

“Having shopped here for 5+ years on a fortnightly to monthly basis, there is a member of staff who works here (within last year or two) whom has put me off ever collecting or arranging delivery from this store. I'm not a difficult customer, I'm in and out and I email my order through and take subs if they are there - but this particular member of staff is ignorant with no social skills and shouldn't be allowed to deal with customers. Bad energy. He seems to have a chip on his shoulder for some reason. I won't name names - but fair to say, I will only order online from the Majestic website now even though it takes longer - I don't want to take the risk of having to speak to this staff member. Cathy in this store, however, is lovely along with another two women whom I can't place their names. All things considering, a 5 star is still worthy - I just don't want to visit this store for collection or anything else if I risk having to deal with any other than these three women. I would be more than happy to return to ordering locally if it can be assured this member of staff won't be the person I have to deal with.”

“Great service and very friendly and accommodating staff. I called just before Christmas Day and guys assembled 12 gift sets at a short notice and delivered to Helensburgh same day. Bonus, it was cheaper ordering via shops direct, rather than on the website!”

“Great shop. Staff are always extremely helpful and friendly. Just a shame more of them aren't on the tills. The self service area is only suitable for a few items. I actually complained tonight about lack of staff serving. Also disappointing that lots of lovely baked goods are uncovered.”

“The staff is so helpful and welcoming, but the food quality always lets me down. I bought a pack of blueberries weighing 150g, yet 13% of them were rotten. Even Lidl can do better.”

“A small Aladdin's cave for whisky, gin etc.I had searched for a shop selling Harris Gin. This was the closest shop to me, a 35-minute drive away. I called first to check it was in stock. When I said it was a gift, I was asked if I wanted gift wrapping. I declined the offer.Extremely friendly, helpful service.”

“People need to understand that Sub Post Offices can be very busy places and they operate on very small margins.I found the counter staff to be very flexible and patient if you told them clearly what you wanted.(I wanted to send a letter to New Zealand with the new King's head postage stamp on it rather than a computer generated label and the lady behind the counter was very patient and helpful when I explained this to her.)This place has very convenient opening hours and is very clean and well organizedPeople need to be more tolerant and give reviews that are more fair and balanced.”
