Got ID'd as a 30 year old on my lunch break and was refused a can of red bull as I didn't have my drivers licence on me. Bit of common sense as I definitely don't look 15 or under!

Located near our hotel, we dropped by for a few quick supplies for the mini kitchen we had. We wanted some food to fill us up, and something easily portable for my flight the next day back to the states. We went to several Sainburys while we were in the UK, and they kind of remind me of the Walgreens or CVS stores we have back in the states: very basic places to go pick up some quick food or much needed toiletries. Albeit often a bit pricey, it's still a good place to pop in when you're looking to grab a few loose items and not wait in a line for a terribly long time. I remember the teenager workers were smitten over my friends' natural red hair, lol.

I find this a pretty handy Sainsbo's actually - it's close to Merchant City, and seeing as I often park at King St carpark I find myself walking past quite often. It's a few aisles big and has a decent enough range that you could definitely get enough ingredients for dinner here, maybe not enough for a full weekly shop though. I popped in quickly yesterday as I was feeling sick and needed some nourishing lemonade. Annoyingly, the sign saying "soft drinks" didn't actually indicate the soft drink section but it was easy enough to find otherwise. There's self checkouts, and prices were reasonable enough.
