Didn't find what I wanted on this occasion, but it was worth the visit. Massive range of tables, seating, and soft furnishings. Spacious store and a lot of staff available to answer any questions. Lots of parking available. Enjoyed the in store café. Not far from motorway, on London Road near KFC, McDonald's & DFS.

We purchased 8 dinning chairs via the website and the next day we received an email saying there was a mistake, resulting in an additional delivery charge of £156 ON TOP of the £89 we?d already paid for delivery. Bearing in mind the order was in excess of £1,200.00If we?d of known this charge initially when we were choosing the chairs we wouldn?t have proceeded with the order.Subsequently we have been forced to look elsewhere and have now sourced very similar chairs for a very competitive price.We?ve asked for a refund but have to wait 10 working days for this to be issued. They are quick enough to take your money, then add additional charges, and then make you wait to get your money back.So now we have to wait for the money before ordering new chairs. Disgusting!We think it?s an extremely poor service and the price we paid should have been honoured in a gesture of goodwill. We are voicing our disappointment by reviewing your company to warn others away, and to prevent them from receiving the same sub standard treatment we have experienced.

We ordered a dinning table and associated seating, when arrived the table and seating was damaged and marked, it was agreed we would receive a full replacement.The replacement came out and it was worse than the first set, despite me asking that before sending anything out to me that it was quality checked to ensure all that was delivered would be 100%, it was obviously not checked as the original wrapping had not been opened and the delivery drivers confirmed nothing had been prechecked before delivery.So we again we were promised we would receive a full replacement, I again asked that it be quality checked before being sent out, the 3rd set arrived and the quality was shocking with burst/stretched stitching and seat quality was really poor.When I questioned Emma who was dealing with my complaint why it was as agreed not quality checked before being sent out Emma said it was , I then asked her to go and check it to see what she thought, her response was she was shocked that the units had been sent out in this state, to me this just goes to show nothing was quality checked.At this stage Sterling refused to order a 4th replacement putting all the blame onto the manufacturer of the furniture, which really when you boil it all down is a cop out for Sterling's lack of control over their own supplier and their poor quailty department who allowed 3 sets of inferior/damaged furniture to be sent out to my home.This whole process from the 15th of April to October 2023 was down to Sterling using a manufacturer that they had no control over and not having in place a quality department who can actually check their incoming goods and delivering complete customer satisfaction.We eventually received a full refund and we ordered the same furniture from another furniture store (a direct competitor of Sterling furniture) who delivered the same set within 2 weeks and everything that arrived was in good condition, they got it right first time.Sterling's attitude and way they deal with their customers is shocking and they need to accept responsibility instead of passing blame onto others.

Popped in today purchased a rug and called into the cafe for lunch .. wow! Best service I?ve ever experienced in a cafe, the food was really nice .. but I would definitely go back for the great service we got from Paul .. he definitely has people skills , so pleasant and helpful .. don?t lose him

Sterling May have changed their trading name, however it would have been more apt if they changed their staff, especially the arrogant manager of their flooring department, who obviously is ?Clueless? when it comes to customer service and rectifying faults.Take my advice and shop elsewhere, especially for flooring.
