Disappointing- the centre felt crammed and claustrophobic. The restaurant/cafe had no foods marked vegetarian. Not for me. The surrounding area on the other hand was relaxing with a lovely beach and picnic area

First visit to Cardwell Garden Centre, won't be returning. We had the steak pie meal, which was luke warm, tasteless, veg undercooked steak pie was dry with pastry topping being burnt. Tried in vain to return it but found attitude of staff rude and disinterested. Overall found the centre to be dirty, cluttered and lacking customer service.

I went with 3 seniors from my place of work and about 7 residents, my senior colleagues are first to order for their foods and I noticed they didn?t come back with any food, instead they sat patiently waiting to be served, I saw the cook serving everyone in the restaurant, but when it got to my turn, I ordered and I was given all 3 plates of food & 3 cups of tea to carry down by myself, it didn?t dawn on me what just happened until I struggled to bring the order to our table 3 times going back and forth the seniors asked why was I the one bringing the food that they are meant to serve since we already have a table, I literally watched them served the other 6 people on my table one after the other, I felt bad because my impression of this place to have been the loveliest place I?ve seen since I relocated to this country and I?ve planned to revisit with my daughter soon changed immediatelyThis event affected me, I lost my appetite, I couldn?t eat, I was quite through our ride back home, I felt sad, it affected me throughout yesterday because I?ve never experienced such before, I lost interest in everything yesterday. Scotland people have been welcoming, but this I don?t know what to call it, even thou I know, I didn?t want to think about it but I can?t help it.

Slightly disappointed on this visit on Sunday compared to many previous visits.Cafe was extremely cold. Unfortunately the pea and ham soup was lukewarm. Normally this cafe is top notch.Rather sad to see the small shops empty and upstairs areaWill certainly give it another go as might have been an ?off? day for them.

Just smashing .We had been on a walking day out at The Greenock Cut and popped in here on the way back for tea ,coffee and of course ,cakes ,glorious cakes . We arrived just as the staff in the cafe were about to stop serving but nothing was a bother to them and the staff were just lovely and what can I say about those cakes ,marvellous!A great finish to our walk with St Leonard's Rambling Club, East Kilbride.Thank you .Brian & Elaine Cummiskey ?
