“I'm going to start this review with the one and only negative comment I can make about this shop - it is small. The shop is reasonably long, but narrow with two aisles just wide enough for a single person. That said, the layout, while a little cramped, is as about as good as it can possibly be for such a small space. It may not be ideal, but it is clear that a lot of thought has gone into the layout of the shop and it works. With the store so close to a major city like Glasgow, there could be a temptation to inflate the prices, but this is a temptation that the staff have resisted. The prices are not dirt cheap, but they are certainly on the cheap side of fair and it's easy to find a bargain. The small space means that there's not a massive quantity of stock out on display, but there's usually a good variety and I've never left the store without making a purchase. The staff are, on the whole, friendly and service is usually quick. At times the volunteers can seem a little flustered as they juggle serving customers, taking in donations and getting stock out onto the shelves, so service is not always with a smile, but it is polite and efficient. It is not my favourite charity shop and it is not the best Barnardo's store I've ever been into, but it's a great store, well managed and definitely worth a visit.”
