Why the store needs to mark up it?s inventory by so much is beyond me. Items that cost less than 2 pounds in a competitor?s store, cost over 4 pounds here.

We arrived at 2 minutes past 8pm having pre-booked and paid in full to be by a sign saying we would not be allowed in, no parking and no pre-warning. We called the office but no answer. Called the late arrivals number to met with a rude and hostile response from a woman who told us that we could not enter. She said it was our fault despite there being no clear documentation or warning about this at the time of booking. Eventually she condescended to agree to come to let us in and bizarrely informed us that she was reluctant as she was not being paid. It took her less than one minute to meet us at the barrier with our entry pass and information. So much for the famous Scottish welcome ?

Lovely site and lovely staff. Great location, right in town with Co-op at the entry to the site. Nice wee shops in town and plenty food places. The Ship Inn was lovely (10% discount for people stating on site). Great walks minutes from site down to the River/across the chain bridge. Will definitely be back. We loved it so much we booked an extra night and half day morning off work!

We stayed on this site twice this year and although we love the town and the surrounding area, the site really needs updating and improvement. There are very few serviced pitches so it's often impossible to get one and nowadays they're in big demand. The site is nice but the toilet blocks, for what is seen as a sought-after site, really need a thorough overhaul. The facilities are not bad for a cheaper site, and the staff do their best to keep them clean, but a revite is needed. We recently stayed on the South Meadows site at Belford and that really opened our eyes as to what a first class site looks like; nearly all pitches are serviced, the facilities are immaculate and it's very hard to find fault at all, although Belford itself has little to offer. Gibson Park's main attraction is it's very close proximity to Melrose, a wonderful little borders town with a good selection of shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants etc as well as lots of walks in the beautiful Tweed Valley so it's especially popular with motorhomers as most things are within easy walking distance. This keeps the site busy more than the site itself and they seem to trade on its position and perhaps have become complacent. The CAMC should be taking a leaf from South Meadows' book and spending a bit on Gibson Park!

Decent range of products. Quite loud music playing in the store made it difficult for me to think but otherwise a good shop.

Friendly helpful staff looking after site every day out doing something. We had pitch 54 on a corner with plenty of room and not much traffic. all pitches looked to have the sun all day in Summer when sun is high in the sky. ideal for the Town of Melrose a short walk into town with good restaurants and pup grub. I would recommend to any one. only problem is it is popular and was fully booked most nights. We were there for 10 nights in August 2022. We will be back.

This is a good stopover for people walking the Southern Upland Way who need a shower etc. Shower facilitites are good but coded door entry, which I'm not a fan of. Not the quietist site during the day, as located next to busy recreation ground and primary school.

Lovely smallest site so far right in town but with views of hills all around. £115.20 for 3 nights. Great pitches and facilities. Melrose is a nice town, with good shopping at Co-op and local indie shops right near site, plus good pubs and cafés. King's Arms was very nice for a meal. Tweed pretty close for lovely walks, banks covered in Few Flowered Garlic, used in local pesto which we had.
