Great pharmacy. The regular pharmacist is really helpful and friendly. Sometimes there can be longer waiting times for picking up prescriptions but this is to be expected given the recent closure of Lloyds Pharmacy, the amount of new houses being built (limited infrastructure to support this) and small number of pharmacies in the surrounding area.

I've generally always liked this pharmacy and have been using them for years, however there seems to have been a change of staffing and the friendliness of the service has gone downhill.Really upset with how my fiance was treated whilst picking up prescriptions for me today. He asked if my Ventolin inhaler was ready, it wasn't so he needed to request an emergency one. We have admittedly needed this on quite a few occasions now - some due to my own fault (adult diagnosed with asthma, which is variable from day to day so I don't always accurately predict when it will run out, I have explained this on more than one occasion to staff), others due to the doctors not issuing the prescriptions in the time frame they state. In any case, we expect a bit of a telling off about needing an emergency one as it has happened too frequently - not pleasant to be on the receiving end but necessary I'm sure, fine. What he was treated to today was not it.3 members of staff decided to together, all chime in to give my fiance one hell of a telling and opinions about how much medicine I was using. My fiance had to stand there and defend me to staff, that I was most certainly not using 20 doses of inhaler a day as they accused, no where close, explain that the inhalers run out of the propellant gas before the medicine is finished, and that my asthma is variable. I was also subjected to the similar last time, when the script had been ordered well in advance, and my doctors hadn't issued it within their own stated time frame.I can accept the advice to order an inhaler when one of the two given is finished - however, I don't think staff understand how off-putting that actually is when we're already subjected to comments about my medicine usage when we go to collect them. We absolutely hate collecting medicine from here now, honestly we dread it.We don't mind being given advice to seek an asthma review appointment (which I will do), or a word about not ordering them in time. I understand pharmacists have a duty of care. There is however, absolutely no need for 3 members of staff to chime in at one customer about it - it's really quite aggressive and undignified to be honest. Does your manner really have to be this way?Bare in mind a doctor is issuing these prescriptions, is aware of my breathlessness, and it might be worth considering that some people can have other conditions, such as autoimmune, which directly effects their asthma and makes managing this a little more tricky than someone who has well-managed asthma with no other conditions. Please do talk to us about your concerns, but in a more dignified and respectful manner.

Take too long to give u ur medication plus takes for ages to wait on it when u or other people in hurry plus wait in the queue if the pharmacy is busy aswell and thier always missing the communication from the gp surgery to pharmacy or the other way round like pass the buke to and from each other plus I hate chasing up the pharmacy and gp surgery all the time or most of the time just for my medication.

Pharmacist is incompetent and arrogant. Blames counter staff for his errors - despite them often having to cover for him.Gave my husband the wrong medication, we noticed after he had taken it because he developed a migraine. Sensitive services that other pharmacies do online are refused over the phone. Unhelpful and inconsiderate - please get a hold function on your phone, as its incredibly unprofessional discussing a client in negative terms when they can still hear you. Glad to see it's decline over the last few years.

To the extremely helpful man who helped me last Friday, thank you so, so much. If you hadn't asked the right questions & advised me to get an urgent optician appointment, I could have lost the sight in one eye!! Really can't thank you enough, would wholeheartedly recommend this pharmacy to all locals!

Had to go 3 times before my prescription was ready! Given a different brand to the one prescribed. Tried phoning shop for advice but never an answer! Not very impressed

Pointless listing a phone number as no one will ever answer no matter what time of the day.

Very helpful staff and reassuring to know my monthly medications will be prepared on time now after the debacle of the past year with Lloyd's Pharmacy in Straiton.

David and the Rowlands staff are (by far) the most helpful we have had here in decades. Excellent.
