Great place original ? so no electric key a plus for me. Vending machine for snacks should you need them. Tea coffee in room warm and clean WiFi brilliant no issues. Brewers fayre with kids play. Food in restaurant is good value fish was great signature burger dynamite. Service both hotel and restaurant pleasant and helpful always. This hotel has been our go to for the area for many years. Unfortunately we hadn?t been back for five years due to covid. The room was as comfortable as was expected for a premier inn and the staff were pleasant. However the restaurant was poor. We ate there the first night and it was a shambles:-Half the food was not available on the?new menu?. This is the same menu I had at the Newquay premier inn a couple of months earlier with no issues. The food was lukewarm at best and my gammon steak (not many choices) was tiny. They also forgot my chips. I didn?t raise this at the time as I was dealing with a home issue so was distracted, but noticed I barely had anything on the plate. They couldn?t make half the drinks on the menu as they hadn?t had the ingredients as it was a ?new menu?. As above, I know this wasn?t true.We didn?t bother with the restaurant again after lukewarm meals and most of the menu missing. If you are going to stay here I?d advise eating in the many fantastic options in Dundee and St Andrews.

Really spacious and clean room for the £53 spent for the night.Rooms: Lots of space, I've paid a lot more on my travels and ended up being in rooms the size of broom closets. Only thing I'd change is that I would prefer more power on the shower but I really can't fault my stay.Food & drinks: Nice restaurant next door with lovely food and serving staff.

One of the poorest premier inns I've stayed in.. bathroom has mould on the tiles & ceiling, they never leave you enough tea & coffee, arrived after a 10hr drive to be told there's no food available.. the restaurant next door stops serving at 7pm.. we arrived at 8pm, who stops serving food at 7pm?

Just the job for the hotel, although the breakfast was the worst I have ever had in a Premier Inn.

Hotel is easy to get, plenty of parking and well sign posted. Staff are super friendly and helpfull, really nice and welcoming. The rooms are clean and big, beds nice and comfy. Dinner and breakfast at the attached brewers fayre were really nice. Really enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Okay so I've never reviewed a Premier Inn before as they are all pretty much the same. But prior to arrival read some of the poor reviews on here (including the last one) and got a bit worried. So just wanted to write this to put people's minds at rest really if, like us, you have read some of the recent bad reviews. Myself, my mum and my 3 and a half month old baby stopped here last night. Elaine on the reception desk gave us a lovely warm and friendly welcome. They say first impressions are everything and she gave a lovely first impression. I even asked her where the nearest shop was so I could go get some water and she told me not to be silly and that she would go and get me a jug of iced water from the bar and bring it to my room. Which she did. Very helpful :) The room was clean, quiet and bed was comfortable. We didn't hear a sound past 10pm. View from the room was lovely and to say the hotel is quite close to a road, heard hardly any traffic noise. The kettle was so spotless inside I could see my face in it (very impressed with that as I rely on the kettle for warm sterilised water for my baby and his bottles). We had the continental breakfast the next morning and again, no complaints. The lady doing the breakfast (think she was some sort of a manager) was helpful and friendly too. All in all a pleasant stay for the 3 of us :)

Absolutely the worst breakfast, go elsewhere pay a tenner, no fruit juice and no butter, poor stuff, service in the bar before was even worse, dinner plates left for hours , ended having to clear glasses off tables ourselves! Never return here...oh and our room got flooded by some hobbit above not the hotels fault as someone left tap running above....all in all a visit to forget, will writing a letter in detail to the management as its a disgrace the way it is being run

We were attending an event at the very close by Forbes of Kingennie, this was a perfect location for us. First of all, it?s right off the dual carriageway but very quiet. There?s a Costa, McDonalds and Dobbies Garden Centre in the same little estate. There?s a sign in the window showing they have an Automated Defib on site which is fantastic. The man on reception was very cheerful, friendly and welcoming and had us checked in really quickly. Working in a hotel myself it was a surprise and bit of nostalgic throwback to be given a physical key rather than a card! The room was large, at the far end and closest to the dual carriageway but we heard no road noise at all. It had everything you?d expect, there?s plenty storage space, kettle, hairdryer and TV. The room was clean and bed very comfortable, while the bathroom was clean it was really quite shabby, parts of the furnishings peeling/flaking away. There was a fan and I believe air conditioning in the room but we didn?t need to use either, had a good nights sleep. Checkout was quick and easy. Basically it?s desperately in need of investment for a refurbishment, it does feel like it was last done up 20 years ago. Even still, the room was clean and comfy. Given I paid £46 for it, I really can?t complain - it would just be nicer if it were brought up to date. The staff are what make the place though. As I said, the guy who checked us in was really cheerful. We didn?t really have any interaction with the night staff though, looked like he was busy with a few check ins when we got back. The housekeeping staff we spoke to in the morning was lovely too though. In summary, it?s not a 5* and doesn?t pretend to be. It?s a comfortable, quiet place to stay with good transport links and a few places to eat a stones throw away.

The room was clean and comfortable in regards to the bed but the room was too hot, too noisy and smelled bad when we arrived but that was from the fields we were over looking. The breakfast provided was terrible, service was meant to start from 7am which was when we arrived but the hot food didn?t get put out until 7.30 and was very poor. My wife was sick within 30mins of eating the scrambled eggs. The continental breakfast wasn?t up to much either, very limited choice
