Had lunch with friends at Craig house. We were given a very warm welcome from the host Natalia on arrival and the customer service remained excellent throughout our visit. The food was excellent and very good value for money. Definitely recommend!

Go to iceland instead, will be better and cheaper, been there tonight...never had worse experience in a Pub/restaurant...service 0! What i believe was the supervisor or shift leader and she greeted us with sad and kind of annoyed face pointing out the worst table even if place was quiet and half empty, we never saw a smile or anything similar...i ordered at the counter and the guy that didn't know what he was doing, sure I've been overcharged and order was bit wrong as i asked for a upgrade of size and never got it, but i do believe that i paid for it, but not receipt given...he made a cocktail...no words to explain how, my girlfriend drank it don't even know how...no smile and such a sad face that was suggesting to leave, even though, decided to stay and give it a try. Food 2! Sad presentation and poor portions, ordered a smothered plate...half was wrong and overcooked...still arrived to the table and again the lassie not even said what the was in the plate...2 of them looking the same apart the sauce...no checkback, no customer service...very sad experience, especially with having a venue that it can be quite nice...definitely first and last visit!

We have been here before but never experienced this level of bad service. Staff did their best but food delivery was really bad. Half our table had finished their food before the other half got theirs. Then we had to ask a member of staff for the rest of our puddings. As I said, staff did their best, but service was really bad. I will return but only when I hear that it's improved.

I've been coming here for years and love it. I always have the same thing. We go for the meal deal for two meals before 6 pm. For years I would order the smothered chicken, however today I complained because half of that which would normally come with my meal was missing, salad and coleslaw, I was informed the menu had been changed (I assume to save money) and no longer included these items. I was left with a very dry and unappertising meal of chicken, chips and garlic bread, which caused me a bad case of indigestion. Why doesn't Brewers Fayre understand that I'd rather pay a little more and enjoy my meal! Why oh why cheapen everything. It is so obvious they are also not investing in the property which is quite honestly falling apart. It's a huge shame because the staff are lovely and deserve to be supported by the owners of this company in the form of investment and consideration of their customers' wants. I loved this place but sadly won't be returning after around 10 years of being a regular customer. Such a shame.

We have been coming here for 16 years and always enjoyed the food and the staff. But something has obviously gone very wrong! Six of us booked and went for dinner tonight. The place was almost empty at 6pm but despite waiting to be seated for 10 minutes no member of staff was to be seen. We eventually seated ourselves. There were only ever ;3 staff to be seen the whole time we were there and we didn?t recognise any of them. The kids starters came during their main course. The bowls the kids food came in were tiny and were very hot to touch. They appeared to have been microwaved. I ordered lasagne with garlic bread and salad. This arrived on a hot plate, my salad and coleslaw were hot. The garlic bread was hard and chewy and I couldn?t eat it. I took the bowl of Lasagne off the plate and took my plate up to the bar as no staff were around. I explained my problem and was told it would have been under the heat lamps. Who puts salad under a heat lamp or on a plate that?s hot! The garlic bread apparently comes like that but my grandsons bread was perfect that he got with the Mac n cheese. I was offered a new salad which came without coleslaw. I asked about my garlic bread and was offered more. I never got it! The Lasagne was delicious. The chef was coming out of the kitchen and serving us with food and clearing the tables. He was very pleasant. Out blonde haired waitress was nice too. My granddaughters yoghurt dip with her nachos was tepid warm. At 10 yrs old even she knew it should have been chilled. The staff kept saying they were very busy and the place had filled up. My daughter asked for mini profiteroles and latte. The dark haired waitress wearing glasses said no profiteroles. My daughter said what about small bits of brownie with the Latte then? No can?t do that she said. So my daughter ordered a sweet. She doesn?t eat ice cream so asked for cream. There?s no cream she was told even though I had cream in my dessert and so did my grandson. The chef came out and said yes I can give you cream and sprinkles if you?d like! So she was delighted with that. (The three fish n chips were great and so were the sweets) The staff member then ran down the chef to my daughter saying he?s not usually like that etc! Attitude was terrible! Other people were also complaining. So some things were good and some things were bad, definitely big changes for the worst. I?ll be giving it a wide berth until I hear its improved a lot.

Will not be back. I have been to Craig house on many occasions. Their service tonight was shocking. Kid?s spaghetti bolognaise which then says pick 2 sides but actually the only sides that it can come with was beans, peas or corn on the cob, none of which go with spaghetti bolognaise. £4.99 for a babies bowl and I needed to pay £2.99 for a portion of chips so my daughter would eat something, we had asked for tomato sauce my daughter then went and asked another couple of workers before we actually received the tomato sauce. Me and my husband waited nearly an hour for our mains, they weren?t busy at all we had to ask if our mains were going to be much longer then no apology or anything.

Went here for breakfast this morning,it was a faithful and classic premier inn Breakfast. The food was delicious and at even better value with kids eat free!!!!!My bacon was very tasty, well cooked and full of flavour, also the mushrooms were tasty and it was so juicy it streamed right down my throat, the fruits were lovely and fresh too.My toast was delicious as well,my golden syrup added flavour to it.They didn?t have everything in the world in the buffet as they had ran out of apples and Nutella, but that was no problem. They even had gluten free muesli and toast avalible which is lovely to see as I?m gluten free myself. The brewers fayre itself also suprised me as well with how good it actually was,I thought it would be like an average pub but they had leaflets advertising the attractions in Edinburgh, the things that Brewers fayre has to offer. They also had a separate conference room too, they even had a Coke drinks machine. The waitress was fantastic and even brought fresh eggs and sausages. The building is very grand and decor is lovely, cosy and Homeley.Would recommend this place for breakfast as an option to choose from in Edinburgh, also with options like Frankie and bennys, hard rock cafe,Loudons and other premier inn breakfasts to be able to choose from.

It?s an ok place to eat handy if you are staying at the premier inn, standard brewers fayre food so don?t expect anything flash. The drinks though they were terrible they had such a nasty tangy taste to them this included soft drinks and beers, maybe the glasses I don?t know but it wasn?t nice.

Lovely Sunday roast with the family. Food was fresh and hot. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Only reason I gave a 4 star was because of the toilets.. really neglected, not clean at all.. felt it needed a well deserved lick of paint and new carpet where you can see the pattern

If you want value for money, usually some deal or voucher makes a trip the brewers fayre worthwhile. The food is ok, the service is terrible and often rude. In the past I've needed to wipe my own table.

I love it here, never had a bad meal or experience until today. Things were off right from the start, we were seated at a dirty table, sticky table with a mountain of crumbs on the floor, a few other tables at the same section were the same. I told the girl this when I ordered my food, but while waiting on our food she sat anther party at the same dirty table. We ordered the smothered platter each one with peppercorn sauce, one withblue cheese sauce. Don't ever order blue cheese sauce from here, it's disgusting, it's more like a Mustarde dressing and is served stone cold, despite that and the stone cold, rock hard onion rings, this was actully a really nice dish, the steak was perfect and I love the chips here. My favourite from this menu is fish pie, so I will stick with that in future.
