Excellent stay for one night. Very nice hotel with great service and extremely clean. We only had to stay for a night as we were driving off to highlands next day. Car pick up is extremely convenient as just a 5 minute walk. Getting to the city centre in Uber takes 20 minutes in the evening and can use public transport also. Rooms were very comfortable. They honour your Hilton status as well and will upgrade you if they have availability which was great for our two rooms. Breakfast is decent and lots of vegetarian options as well if you want that. Overall a great stay and we might even consider it next time even if we are here only to explore Edinburgh!

We selected this hotel for maximum convenience for a 0730 flight to Australia. Sadly, despite his best efforts, the nice chap Graeme who was on duty, was totally hamstrung by the most basic of failures of what you would expect from a hotel? hot water in the shower, and simple processes and procedures. We arrived on the evening of the 26th March and were allocated a room on the 1st floor. We have a flight to catch to Oz very early so need to get up at 0330. Needed showers before bed. Water freezing. Then a trip to the second floor to a supposed empty room which had a female guest in? then a rant from Graham to reception ensured, then a third attempt at a room on the 5th floor. Water warm for our 11yr old son then freezing cold for my wife and myself. I mean actually freezing! My rating went from a 1 star, upgraded to a 2 star by virtue of a 50% discount and a pint of Stella and the promise of a warm shower by the third attempt at finding a room? but the bottom line is when you are in a modern, smart looking hotel and they can?t even manage warm water in the freaking shower at the third attempt, that is simply unacceptable. We?ll be pursuing a full refund. If the folks on desk say ?computer says no? or any of that nonsense, I?ll just have to escalate as required.

Really, really, REALLY slow service. Spent more time in queues than eating. Check-in was dreadfully slow. Why are we re-writing our details when we've booked online?I'm still in the queue as I write this... You're in desperate need of more staff on the floor.Rooms are quite good for the price and proximity to the terminal. The TV is a decent size and there's many USB and UK electrical plugs and one EU plug.Rooms: Well kitted, good blackout curtains, tons of USB and electrical outletsWalkability: Close to the terminal and rental car lot.Food & drinks: Slow service, small portions, lukewarm.

A few mins walking distance from the Edinburgh airport.The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, and ordered the taxi from the hotel for us to get in town before our room was ready.We were in town just for a quick visit and the check-in was swift and hassle free after 8pm. Breakfast was included and started from 4 am but we headed straight back to the airport the next day in the early morning.Decent size room and bathroom equipped minimum amenities you would require for a stay over. The prime location next to the airport was the main reason for us to book this hotel in the first place. I'm certain it's most likely for most of the people who were staying here.The downside was the air conditioning panel was locked so we didn't know how to turn the heating on but it was late so we didn't want to bother anyone.A fresh fruit bowl located at the front desk which was a nice touch.

If you arrive by evening flight, it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the airport.

All staff made it a welcoming atmosphere to be in. Meals were basic but delicious. Good range of drinks. Snacks 24/7. Room had tea/coffee making. Housekeeping could be improved.Walkability: To the airport, trams and buses.

Rooms: Rooms were great.Nearby activities: Perfect location for a hotel for a flight the next day.Safety: Felt very safe.Food & drinks: The servers at the bar/restaurant were a bit rude. We got the feeling it was inconvenience to them for us to be there.

Rooms are as you expect, comfortable and clean. There is also a small but reasonably equipped gym.Breakfast is another story. The hot food is quite good (eggs, sausage, bacon, tomatoes and beans) - the rest is average (and stay away from the porridge unless you are used to the slurpy water-based version). Also, don't bother going late; it is supposed to be until 10, but by 9.30, all is gone but hot food and apples. Last but not least, service yourself on cheap trays and awful cutlery - the knives are so blunt I could not cut my apple.
