In fact, I extended my stay in Oban overnight to leave the boots with him for repair. The price of £10 was less than I had expected.Unfortunately, the repair didn’t last more than a few days, and I never actually tested it in wet or mucky conditions. After just a couple of times out and about in urban settings there was an obvious separation developing between the sole and the last of the right boot.Bummer.
