AVOID other shops are way cheaper (Tesco, Boots) and you don't get forced to scan your boarding card or use self checkout machines. Why pay more for little or sometimes no customer service?

Once again the self service machine couldn't scan my boarding pass. My efforts to obtain help from staff resulted in a young chap arriving and pressing a couple of buttons and said there you go and when he rapidly disappeared I was no further ahead with my purchase. I had to ask for assistance again to complete the transaction. All this to simply buy a newspaper took ten minutes. I will never use this service again

Large, well stocked Smiths with a big section of Scottish themed gifts. Self checkout kiosks force you to let them scan your flight details (presumably to allow Smiths to not pay VAT on purchases by International passengers) which feels very intrusive.
