This place is good for bits and pieces and some brand new items but not the same choice as some of the other charity shops.

Cds are priced way too high ,especially compared to all other charity shops,in fact you can order most brand new online for the same price BHF are asking for a second hand copy!(most of them are damaged in one way or another too). They should be maximum 30p but I?ve seen cds with £3 on them with fingerprints/scratches & even damaged cases and simply went home and ordered brand new online for £2.99 delivered (exact same ones). The vulnerable won?t realise this of course! ?.wait a minute?.is it not them you?re meant to be helping?.

I have always loved shopping in charity shops and always find something unique and beautiful and the money goes to something good. In all my 12 years I have never been treated so badly the mature women who was at the desk was rude to me when I had a few items that I wanted to try on and wanted to leave behind the desk as I was looking the shoes she immediately snapped at me and said you are only allowed 4 items to try I smiled and acknowledged that but I just wanted her to keep them behind the desk. She then proceeded to follow me and stare at which made me feel very uncomfortable but I did not think much of it, when I asked for the items she snapped at me and said she put them back and that is the way it is. I was shocked and could not believe my ear or the way she was treating me so I asked for the manager and her name which she would not give me and was raising her voice at me and not even apologizing for her conduct. When I said to her that this is not acceptable she ignored me and dealt with other customers and told me that she is busy, again I requested to see the manager and she declined to give me the managers name, I waited and looked at the back and finally the manager emerged, I was not happy with the managers response either she was dismissive of my complaint and was just standing there and did not give me any indication of what was she going to do when I persisted that this was not acceptable and wanted my complaint to be recorded and dealt with in writing she agreed. I am still waiting for the apology. Rude staff and I see the management does not mind at all ,buyers be ware and do not accept being discriminated against or bad treatment, there is no excuse.
