“We had a wonderful stay recently at Saplin Brae. Our large party stayed in the shooting lodge and a log cabin . The staff couldnt have been more helpful to meet our requests throughout our stay, despite making lots of these and changing plans at the last hour! The accommodation was immaculate and had everything you would need for a weekend and more. The outside decked area surrounding both accommodations was fabulous for enjoying a drink outside Food in the hotel was good and staff pleasant throughout! Thanks again, cant wait to come back!”

“The Albert is an old property but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, bed comfortable and water hot. These things, for us, are mandatory. We did not expect breakfast boxes in our room and were most happy to receive them. Breakfast is cereal, juice, yoghurt, cheese & biscuits and freshly cut fruit. More than adequate. On the second morning we even had a cheese sandwich which we saved for lunch! Wonderful to have tea and coffee making facilities too. WiFi was good and the hotel is quiet. We sat in the bar on the second evening and then had a delicious chicken and ginger soup for dinner in the restaurant area. Very reasonable prices. The hotel is within walking distance to the main shops and cafes. Parking is on the street out front and we had no issues with it. Thank you for a comfortable stay and the wee treat on checkout. Most unexpected.”

“I spend much time in hotels . Majority are holiday inn , premier inn . I find that what makes a hotel is its staff . The waterside hotel has to be at the top indeed . There is nothing like being welcomed like an old friend . I stayed for 4 nights and it was indeed a pleasure . The hotel GM is James . An genuinely pleasant and most approachable ambassador for the hotel . His exemplary standards are reflected by his staff , William , Nicole , Nicola and jade . Again wonderful people. Not forgetting the fantastic staff in the health suite Angela and staff . The facilities are clean and all staff are very eager to please .As a hotelier myself with a large hotel with over 200 guests daily , I would be most honoured and grateful to have members of staff with such great hospitality.The hotel was run like a family business . .Not something you always get. Peterhead has a jewel in its crown . Bravo .Rooms: Clean , fluffy towels , coffee tea facilities and good size television . Sheets were crisp and good selection of soft and hard pillows . Rooms were sizeable and heating was good . No odours . Facilities include a good size fridge , iron and board , hairdryer.Bathroom was clean with good supply of towels and the body wash and shampoo dispensers actually had soap in them . ?Food & drinks: Excellent morning breakfast. Large selection of hot items , including full continental . Coffee was fresh bean filtered . All items were made perfectly .mushrooms and tomatoes were succulent , eggs cooked , not dry , and meat items looked good , albeit I didn’t eat . Well done ??Noteworthy details: The health suite is practical with basic machines and free weights . It has an excellent pool which was warm , a very warm jacuzzi and exceptionally good dry and steam sauna .”

“Went for a celebratory meal for my husband's birthday. We are both tea total so the food is the main draw for us and the food was lovely. The service was faultless, nice bunch of girls waitressing there, polite, well dressed and friendly. The decor was warm and inviting and well maintained. Could not fault the Waverley Hotel. We are thinking about booking our Christmas dinner there this year.”
