Very friendly hotel and very clean and well maintained. Nice to have a single room without having to pay a supplement! Good selection of choice for breakfast. Quiet area but only 3 minutes walk to local shops/bars. WiFi signal strength very good. Ideal base.

Fantastically inventive dishes perfectly cooked and expertly served. The onion and cheese bread accompanying the meal was to die for! A must to visit in Strathaven.

I've been here a couple of times and the food has been top notch both times - all courses. They are great with children and good value. I love the fact you order in the lounge and only go through for dinner when it's nearly ready - ideal when you have children.

This has changed hands a few times but they still offer accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis. They have a nice restaurant, a place to sit with a view of the park. They have nice meals in addition to the popular high teas with scones and various cakes. The car park space is not great though so be prepared to have a short walk.
