In a lovely location, in a pretty town, the Old Smiddy is a real find. We had a drink and a sandwich for lunch, which were good value and very tasty. Service was very friendly and efficient. Strongly recommended.

One of my favourite places ❤️. So friendly and welcoming. The food is always freshly prepared. The soup is always piping hot and rather moreish. Fabulous scones and so much more . A gem ? in lovely Strathaven.

From The Old Smiddy
The Old Smiddy is a gift and coffee shop with a lovely setting by the Powmillion Burn which runs through Strathaven. We have both inside and outside seating and open Monday to Saturday for coffee and cakes and light lunches. We offer home made soups, together with a range of sandwiches, paninis and wraps all freshly prepared to order. We also have a takeaway service.
Our gift shop has a wide range of reasonably priced gifts including jewelry, handbags,scarfs, homewares and cards candles.
