“I had a very good experience with this garage when looking to buy a used car. Out of the 4+ garages I visited all over Fife in my car search, Ian at Mercury Motorsports was by far the best and most helpful person I spoke to. Ian was very happy to discuss all my questions and to offer me his advice, not only on comparing the car I was viewing versus other cars but even on other marginal topics like insurance for a first-time car buyer. It was also an odd experience for me that many of the salesmen I talked to often didn't have very detailed answers to my questions (on comparing this car make versus that one, previous owners, what various repairs on the MOT history meant, etc.), but Ian was much more knowledgeable and had much more helpful answers in this respect. He also had much more to say about the car on the test drive, and so I found the test drive much more helpful to learning about the car than I did at other garages, both in letting him drive and when I was driving. In the end, I ended up going with another car (nothing wrong with the car I was looking at at Mercury, just liked another one at a different garage better), but Ian was so helpful I still felt the need to write a review. Great experience overall and would highly recommend seeing what this garage has to offer. (There was even a couple who had driven all the way up from Newcastle the day I was there, and they drove away happy with a car!)”
