The staff on site are great. Sadly senior management don't let them do their job like serving customers as the collection office is only 16 hours a week. That's pathetic. Imagine starting a business based on customer service but only allowing customers in less than 10% of the week. The phone line is awful also.

Tried to collect a parcel in shrewsbury. The collection office times have changed to the busiest hours for traffic on a main road to the town centre. Almost impossible to stop. I am also disabled so have to park nearby. Also had a card through the door for failed delivery saying redelivery tomorrow. I waited in, no delivery and no 2nd card. Site says they tried to deliver when i was there. So did they try the correct house. Who knows, you cant get to speak to anyone. Absolutely shocking. That's obviously why everyone is using other postal services. Suffice to say I will be doing the same. They don't deserve my money and custom.

Parcel was delivered but since then two messages to say I need to give £1.20 for my parcel to be delivered as the parcel has got wrong address on it. So what's going on Royal mailAbviously I have reported both scams and to the the supplier of the goods ordered!

This rating is purely based on the most ridiculous opening times, and the fact that any tracked items can not be submitted anywhere else locally.Half the week barely open 2-4 hours, but always only within standard opening times!Anyone sending out of hours can only do that once a week on Thursday 17:00-18:00. This means that some post, unless special delivery, can't arrive before Monday, because the dispatch doesn't happen until Friday if after 16:30. Send Thu, arrive Mon/Tue in most cases. 4-5 days, but technically only 3 working days (Fri, Sat, Mon).This happens only because of the opening times. However, a package sent Wed can be expected to arrive by Fri. The one day earlier send means a 3-4 day earlier arrival in most cases.Makes one wonder who thinks about these opening times!?!?Suggestion: 2 hours morning (07-09), 2 hours lunchtime (12:30-14:30), 2 hours early evening (19-21) should be standard Mo-Sat, at least those times are more doable for people.As for the barcode compatibility, one couldn't make that up it's so silly.Same infrastructure, same services, no barcode compatibility.Another suggestion would be to have integrated scanners on Royal Mail locations that can either email or sms a send confirmation. To still have to rely on antiquated manual stamps on paper is rather bizarre.Furthermore, Royal Mail locations should have pickup lockers akin to Amazon.Everything that takes the emphasis away from needing to physically be in-store during opening times is helpful.Update: now not open at weekends at all and only half day Mondays

Been waiting for 2 days for important parcel..had card pushed through to pick it up at the Sorting office.Went there wasn't given it due to parcel being reprocessed ! Explained it is needed for medical use still wouldnt give it to me ...awful service

Closed today whilst it still says they are open on their website and Google. Would have been nice to tell the public before they sit in traffic for over half an hour to get there.

It depends what member of staff you get I suppose, when I first visited here to collect a parcel it was clear to see the member of staff didn't want to be there or help me. Luckily, the next day a different member of staff was more helpful and I was able to get my parcel without any issues..

When my letter arrived today it was screwed up and shoved through the letter box I picked it up and it was soaking and ripped the full seam of the envelope was open which fully exposed private and very sensitive personal information I opened the door and shouted the postman (not our regular postie) he turned around then carried on walking I shouted him again and said what happened here he said its raining what do you expect! I'll tell you what I expect and that's my letters in one piece and not that attitude I wasn't rude to him so I don't expect him to be rude to me I will post the photos on the website and will be reporting him !
