Really helpful staff that know their stuff and some very good prices on used gaming equipment. Worth a visit if you're looking to pick up some harder to find items or replace a bit of old tech that you can't get elsewhere. Really like the fact their used equipment is backed up by a strong warranty too.

Usually have had great experiences at this place, however I was met with two very rude staff members, who decided to constantly cut me off when I was asking a simple question. Please check your customer service training with these people.

Brought an iPhone SE refurbished. Was advised by one of their team that the battery life would be over 80%. Returned for a full refund as battery wasn?t over 80%. Offered only a voucher. Which I?m not happy with at all. Nobody advised me of their policy, no policy clearly visible either. I have been mis sold a product. Manager said there is nothing she could do. Managers clearly aren?t empowered to make any decisions. Manager was also very abrupt and had no care that her team had mis sold me. Her excuse was they may be new team members, how is this the customers fault. They aren?t managers if they can?t make a decision. I would be careful buying refurbished products from CEX. I will be making a formal complaint to trading standards and their customer service department at HQ. Poor form CEX

5-star experience in the Telford shop today. Served by Josh who fired through the massive bag of blu-rays we bought in, great service and even took his break half hour late to finish the transaction.

No obvious management in queue for ages. Plenty of staff in shop but only two on tills, then just the one on the tills as the second one goes on walkabout. In the end I waited that long for service I just walked out.Obviously not a customer friendly shop, just a shop of youngish people full of their own importance.

I would honestly give 0 stars if that were at all possible. The staff were rude, and incredibly unhelpful. They refused to comply with the refund policy as stated on their website and now I have a useless voucher that, unless I can sell it on, will never be used as I refuse to give custom to a place with repeatedly appalling customer service.

Bought an xbox controller as a gift for someone who ended up not needing it. Went in to store to try and return it where I was greeted by strange looks from the staff member who ended up being curt and completely useless. I asked for a refund for the item and explained I just no longer needed it and was told I could only get a voucher, which I didn't want as I wanted my money back. The item hadn't been used and was in the exact condition it was bought in, with a reciept. The staff member asked the manager who again did nothing but say no, it can only be a voucher, which is not the same as the money back. I tried to explain this but nobody seemed to understand. The manager then said I should sell it on ebay. I had no choice but to accept the voucher or receive nothing. In short I have been robbed of my money and refused a refund for no valid reason.Absolutely disgusted with this store and their actions. 1/5. Buyer beware.

A well laid out store with friendly and helpful staff. Usual wide range of gaming and TV/film products. Good location within the shopping centre. Would recommend.

I ordered some games from cex on collect and I went before it said it was ready, my fault but I really wanted them that day and they had lots in stock. The manager (woman) refused to give them me and was very rude to both me and her staff. I ended up having to pay twice and it took a while for the manager to agree to that saying no the entire time. Jordan one of the staff was a super help and actually sorted it all out. I?m impressed with him but the manager needs some lessons in how to talk to customers.

Visited today, tried to sell my Google Pixel 6 Pro. I was given an price estimate of £189.00 for the phone. I accepted the offer and was told to come back to the store in 45 minutes to allow for some tests on the phone to done. I left the store and returned 45 minutes later... On returning to the store I waited to be served by a member of staff, I was then asked what I was there for I told them I brought in my Google Pixel 6 Pro to sell. The member of staff went away, and came back with the phone in his hand along with the charger for the phone and proceeded to hand me back the phone & charger and say "We can't accept the phone because the sim card tray is bent". I was in disbelief at what was said to be honest. I mean what sort of reasoning is that to not accept buying a customers device. You have to slightly bend the sim card tray to remove the sim card, it's the only way to get it out of the tray. The only other option, is to slam the tray on a table or something and actually risk damaging or breaking the sim tray altogether. I've never heard of something so petty in my 30 years on this planet. I just looked at the staff member, took back my phone & charger and walked out the store. I started to walk home, I got back to my local highstreet and decided to try a local business where I could sell my phone to. I walked into the store and spoke with a friendly and very helpful man and after telling him of my experience with CeX. I was able to sell my phone to that business instead with no drama, no complaints. Just grateful for the custom. Remember people, always support your local businesses. You usually get a much better experience. Never again CeX. You've lost my custom.

Very disappointed! 2 months ago I bought hair straightener and when I used last few times it?s just not straightening my hair like it was in the beginning. They told me to come after 45 min just to tell me that they check it and everything is worked perfectly fine and if the item is not faulty (which suddenly is ,if it?s not I will not complain) they will not give me my money back . I am not even sure that they check it if it?s working properly or not as I was not there . Anyway it?s the worst experience for me ! The manager was also unexpectedly rude explaining to me how it?s not their fold that I don?t like my hair ? However I hope to never come in your shop and advising everybody the same thing !

Overpriced garbage.. the fact that now your sometimes more expensive then game is laughable......your only redeemable quality is the in store credit is the best around thats why you get one star....avoid

Came into the store today 10am and found a Bluetooth speaker only for the lady who served me to refuse me saying it was damaged well when coming back threw 4pm the speaker was back in the window so this time I asked to purchase it and again I was fed a bunch of lies only for the manager to intervene and allow me to purchase gotta be the worst CEX around avoid at all costs
