Used to be a lovily shop but now it looks cluttered and dirty counter that is for official post office use is covered in junk, no space to sign a form, letter.A once nice shop ? now is more like a hoarder junk shop, staff are learning but still have a long way to go.Improvement neededFront door is filthySince writing this the door has been cleaned and some clutter sorted out, you can now get to the post office counter. Step in the right way

I recently went to backwell post office to post a small parcel.The gentleman that out with me was so polite and helpful but there was a problem with my parcel.And it was so professionally dealt with in this day and age their customer service was superb

Like to not put customer parcels in the sending bags and customers are left for over a week not having their parcel! The RM extensive systems state the parcel is still at this post office and RM have confirmed it?s not been collect to go to the sorting office.After my parcel being sat at Backwell Post Office and not being sent for a week, I rang and a gentleman answered the phone who was very polite and helpful. He said he would try to find it and call back.However, I had the unfortunate encounter of a vile woman from this post office refused to listen to what I was telling her RM have said (which was they?ve had complaints before from customers with same issue as mine!) about the customer?s complaining that their post has been not put in the collection bags and has landed on the floor, which then means customers aren?t getting their post and this woman demanded to see proof post has been left on their post office floor! I was telling her what RM have told me. All she wanted to do was push a claims form at me rather than actually looking for the parcel that they still have. I even said that if staff have accidentally not put it in the bag then fine just rectify it but don?t start getting shirty when someone asks where their parcel is-especially when Royal Mail have checked every system they have and can clear see it?s not left Backwell Post Office at all!Sadly after the reviews I?ve been reading online about Backwell Post Office customer service skills, it looks like I?m not the only one who?s had to deal with their lack of good customer service skills.Backwell Post Office- you can?t fling mud at customers who have experience bad customer service With yourselves, especially when you?re replying in a rude manner to customers who leave negative feedback. As a business, you need to take the bad knock?s because you?re not always right (as you can see by negative reviews that have left which all state staff rudeness!)

Not happy, my son went in and asked specifically for 2nd class recorded, came home and he was charge £6.85 for special delivery. Please listen to what people are asking for, it's quite simple not make up your own minds without telling them what you are doing!

Warning to Backwell residents
I just had the most horrible encounter with the owner of the Backwell post office and shop.
I live in Long Ashton and was able to get a GP appointment in Backwell today. I had other errands to run including food shopping and posting some parcels. When I saw there were no spaces outside the GP I decided to park outside the post office and kill two birds with one stone. I thought Iâ??ll nip to the doctors and then come back and do the other bits.
Got my baby out the car and walked the 30 seconds to the doctors surgery. Then before I know it, the post office owner comes in, clearly having stalked me (and my baby) and starts berating me in front of the whole doctors waiting room! He said that I clearly had no intention to spend money at his business and I said yes I did but due to the time decided to come to the doctors appointment first and with that he left. An elderly man next to me says heâ??s been in a similar situation with this owner and therefore no longer shops there.
When I got back to my car I confronted him and said that he canâ??t treat his customers like that, he said Iâ??m not a customer until Iâ??ve actually shopped there (I have shopped there before), and said he doesnâ??t want anyone parking there unless they are inside his shop the entire time they are parked. I said I would warn the other mums in the area and he said he doesnâ??t want us there anyway.
The guy is completely out of touch with reality and his customers. Please spread the word. Yes it would be a shame to lose a post office but the kind people of Backwell and surrounding communities donâ??t deserve to be treated like this.

Backwell post office is a very good useful commodity for the community, the staff are excellent and extremely professional. I have definitely had my best postie experience there, keep up the excellent service ladies and gents.
