In June I purchased a gold necklace in order to be able to wear my Mum's wedding ring on. She has recently passed away and I am not ready just yet to have the ring re-sized. I was served, at the time by a lovely lady, Sheila, who was able to help me find just the right necklace. Unfortunately a couple of weeks ago I noticed the necklace was faulty, and sought to get it repaired. My husand in his ultimate wisdom had lost the receipt!!! However, all was not lost. A phone call to David, the Manager, to explain my circumstances, and he told me to come on in to store and they would have ways to track our purchase. When I got to store I was helped by Craig. What can I say, Craig you are an absolute gem, you very kindly found my purchase on your system and exchanged my necklace without a single quibble. You went to lengths to explain ways I could wear the ring on the necklace for which I am extremely grateful. However whilst there, I did "have a moment" of sadness and you were so very kind to me. I am extremely grateful to all of you and can not recommend your store highly enough. Keep doing what you are doing guys - Ernest Jones should be very proud of their staff in Bath.

We recently had to replace my wife?s diamond earrings after they were unfortunately lost after 15 years.David the store manager greeted us on arrival, and was an absolutely amazing individual who made us, but more importantly my wife feel very relaxed.He was very attentive, helpful, and very knowledgeable and made the experience a truly memorable one? and after purchasing a lovely set of new diamond stud earrings for my wife the smile on her face was brilliant ?I couldn?t recommend the store but particularly David enough. If you are after something special with amazing service and an seemless experience visit the store in Bath!Thank you!

Came to this branch after a poor experience with a faulty watch at the Cribbs Causeway store, and was served by the store manager (David); he was incredibly helpful and understanding and exchanged my watch for something else with a discount on the price difference for the inconvenience caused! Overall very very happy with my experience and I?d definitely visit the Bath store over Cribbs again!

We went to purchase our wedding rings there. The assistant manager, Craig, was turning his back on us when he asked 'How can I help?'We were with our 3 years old and our 7 months old and we were holding one each. Craig did not even ask us if we wanted to sit down as we tried the various ring types. We tried the wedding rings and we settled for the most expensive option of the simple golden ones. We tried the rings while standing all the time. The attitude changed slightly just when it became clear we were making a purchase. Overall, not a premium experience whatsoever even considering we were purchasing a big item (with discount, at 750 GBP each), not a 20 GBP metal earrings.We asked the question about engraving 3 times and the leading times were not clear and there was a different answer each time.Finally, we did not receive any text or email which allowed us to track the rings which we chose to get delivered at home. I checked with the shop in Bath if our details were correct, and they seemed ok. Further to that, my husband contacted customer service and he finally got a tracking message when the last one of the rings had already been delivered. He complained about this, but he did not receive any feedback or apology.Overall, customer service was very very poor, especially for something that should feel very premium like shopping for wedding rings.Not considering that, there was a lack of human aspect as we had two daughters and we got left standing. It was hot and we were offered no drink.I would have gone to Goldmiths if it had not closed down. Last year, we purchased a 100 quid item for which we were treated much better. We were asked if we wanted to sit down and if we wanted a drink.Other people were shocked and said they had a completely different experience in other stories, being treated with white gloves and valuable customers.My advice to management or whoever represents management: you never know who is going to make the next big purchase, treat everyone well and as humanly as possible. Create a better customer experience around shopping for wedding rings, like a private room and some bubbly.

Me and my wife came in to enquire about the seiko watches the store was offering.We were approached and greeted by David the store manager. He made our visit to the store an absolute delight. He spent a long time with us letting me try on numerous watches.It was lovely seeing how passionate and knowledgeable he was but not only that, he made us feel so comfortable and at ease and really made us laugh with his stories!It was an absolute pleasure meeting David and we will certainly come back to see him with any more enquires we have.We aren?t local to Bath but would happily travel to the store again because of the excellent experience.

We just came from the Thermae Spa so we looked like we just had a shower and our clothes is just very casual. Sales lady looked at us from head to toe. Then, I saw on the display my birthstone Opal ring, so I said to my husband I?ve been looking for this for so long. He is willing to buy it for me. So I asked the sales lady what are the terms and conditions of paying thru instalments, like does she have any promotional stuff what more can she offer and etc and she said it has to be £300 and above plus deposit. Okay so the ring 9ct White gold diamond ring is £275 and I will still willing to buy the jewellery along with other earrings. My husband asked what are the terms of paying in instalments, she said you have to pay deposit but she doesn?t know how long and how much is the deposit. I was thinking did she not want to sell the items to me? She said you cannot buy this with the combination of other jewelry, Okay I said I will just buy it straight on. Then when she enter the code of the ring it was £350, it was placed on the wrong area of the pricing. She said sorry I cannot do anything about that. It was placed on the wrong area. I understand that but, can she try to help us in any other way. Is there like a customer service to do above and beyond your service. So sad. I?ll never come back to that store.

Bought a Tudor Blackbay 58 on a bracelet online. Despite stock shortages, Wendy of the online team and Fern from the Portsmouth store managed to make the deal happen by supplying one on a leather strap with the bracelet as well. Collected from the Bath store, where the staff were very helpful. Very happy with the watch and actually loving the leather strap, I probably won't switch to the bracelet until Autumn/Winter. Very pleased I bought from Earnest Jones

What can I say really. 5 rings out of stock, why are they still on display?? Ordered and paid for it to be delivered today at Coventry store. Phonecall 9.30 this morning to say Bath store made an error, ring not available. So disappointed and upset.

Went in for a watch bracelet readjustment and was welcomed warmly and treated fantastically by all the staff, especially the manager. Will definitely shop here for watches in future when back in Bath.
