A quiet little pub which seems to be a popular place with the locals as there are always a good few folks in. They do St Austell brewery beers here so I can get one of my favourite pints in. Not had food here so can't comment. The staff are very friendly and always welcoming. Atmosphere is quaint and plenty of nooks and crannies to have a pleasant pint with a mate or two.

I was very impressed by the friendly atmosphere of the pub and staff. We arrived without a booking and were made to feel very welcome, as it was Sunday I can only comment on the roast, we had chicken and it was delicious, as were the trimmings and the excellent value for money.Unfortunately I'm trying dry January but I was extremely tempted by the excellent range of real ales on tap. I would highly recommend a visit and shall definitely be returning next month! (Unfortunately I was hungry and didn't think to take any photos but the food looked delicious)

What can I say, nice range of bitters, well kept, cosy fire and a delicious plate of venison steak with red wine jus, mash and green beans. Can't wait to try the game pie next time! Perfect evening.

We were heading south on the M5 and looking for somewhere close by to stop off for dinner. After reading a few reviews online we decided to stop off at The Plough Inn and had a great evening meal. The food was proper pub grub well done (we had scampi and gammon) and it had a great atmosphere in an old traditional pub. I couldn?t believe how busy it was for a Thursday night and it was definitely better than the photos online. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Wish I had a local like this!

was passing through, chanced it without booking for a Sunday roast. well it was a great pay off, that was an amazing roast... beef pink and full of flavour, gravy spot on, yorkie, vegs and roasters top draw. bar staff were lovely, even popped my head in the kitchen.... looks like there was only four of them running the show! well done guys. 10/10 thanks for squeezing us in. cheers
