Called in between 5-6pm on a Tuesday evening, first question "have you booked?", no and then proceeded to tell me it was their busy time due to workers staying at the Premier Inn, No welcome, no smiles.Then when ordering, just two of us at table for four, ordered steak x 2, with 1 sauce and corn on the cob, we were discussing having onion rings and he said we'd need a bigger table if we kept ordering, just found the service to be rude.The food was nice.

Shocking experience really. Impolite staff, was told the kitchen closes at 9pm when usually later after a hard day at work. The older staff running bar seemed arrogant and felt like we were a inconvenience being there. Got 5 min warning no draft after 20:45 as cleaning pints, which why not do when bar closes. Further more 2 out of 3 dishes came out wrong. Not normally one to complain but after a hard day of work and someone who regularly stays at adjacent Premier inns I found it a diabolical experience

The kitchen wasn't on because of staff shortage which is a shame because i wanted to try some of their food. The menu looks interesting. Maybe some other time. Drinks menu is okay, all the basic stuff. Atmosphere was a bit lacking but then again it was Friday midday.

At breakfast we noticed a member of staff checking in customers from the hotel. As we queued we heard her chastising a large family for not pre-booking a table in advance despite the fact they had bought the breakfast in advance just like us. She openly blamed premier inn staff but you could tell made customers feel like they had done something wrong Despite the drama she found the them a table. We were seen next and received the same treatment. At one point we even felt the need to ask if we needed a refund. We was again told it was premier inn staff, staff shortages, even the manager was battling with whitbread to get money for refurb and told that it was an independent. All reasons for negative experience? - Not We were then shown to a table that had cutlery missing. We weren?t told if it was self service/someone would take our order but worked it out. Butter looked like it had been microwaved for longer than needed. Only white bread available. OJ had run out along with other things. So sad as evening staff were great and attentive. Whether you are independent, have staff shortages, have battles with your colleagues in premier inn, or your manager has an argument of refurbs with Whitbread is not an excuse for delivering a negative experience to myself and other customers. There is no excuse. I have eaten in 100s of beefeaters for breakfast throughout the uk and this was by far the worse. I have had fantastic meals in some and left positive reviews. But other than a good cooked selection for breakfast and good evening staff I can?t say anything else positive. If the person who greets customers in such s negative manner feels it?s appropriate, you have a very urgent need for customer service training. Perhaps if the same person spent less time talking to a colleague and also swinging her keys like a jailor, she would have been more attentive to food on display and tables. You created negative experience for myself, my partner and I could tell by the reactions of the large family before us. Your operational issues should not be taken out on customers. Other beefeaters manage it. So should you. If you do not want our money, say so in advance and we can go elsewhere. But if you take it please provide the service most would expect. If you need to communicate with your colleagues in premier inn operationally then do so, but don?t drag customers into your internal affairs or problems with whitbread. Avoid until training has commenced particularly for front of house staff. I most certainly will!

Last minute booking. Turned up, was lovely and quiet, we got there before the rush. Was 5 in the party. I felt the menu was limited to a lot of burgers but lots of options for burgers. No pizzas. 4 out of 5 from the group ordered from 2 courses for a certain amount of money. Chicken was good. Could have done with some more chips. The place was clean and tidy. There are not many dessert options. Toilets available, parking available. Staff friendly but busy. Drinks were OK, but no bottled still water available. Comfy seating.

We arrived without a reservation after a day of travelling, despite being busy they (Amy) managed to get us a table. She explained about the new menu and that there were some limited items (nothing that I would have ordered anyway). She was the perfect host for our entire time there, polite, friendly and very professional. Our drinks and food arrived in a very timely manner, and everything was excellent, the food was hot, tasty and the portion sizes were really good. It was quite busy but the atmosphere was very welcoming, not like some of the other big restaurant chains. If you are staying in the Froom area, or just passing through and need to eat, I recommend that you put this on the list of places to use. It is well priced, well presented good quality food and if all the staff are of the same caliber as Amy (from what I saw and heard they were) it will be a pleasurable experience. Thank you

I've worked in hospitality for a long time and all I saw from the staff was a group with no leadership in terms of the level of customer service they were expected to give. Food was delivered quickly and was nice. But the D&B blaring from the kitchen which forced the chefs to shout their swearing at each other ("Harry what the f*** is this?") kind of ruined the chilled vibe with out two under-5 kids. But chefs swear. I get that. I'm used to that. They just need to turn the music off. What annoyed me more were the floor staff - the two teenage girls specifically and their duty manager who walked around doing the absolute bare minimum (no one checked on us during our meal) complaining about how many hours they were working and how they needed to go home. When one table asked to be moved to accommodate a highchair, the staff did so but with the air of inconvenience. It was a safety issue as it was a fire exit - this was the safest option. Only for the longest haired server to (imo pretty loudly considering the family had only moved a few tables away) declare "God how long did it take them to mess my table up?. They had kids. Your table plan wasn't right.

Prices are very good compared to other places. Wide range of food, so something for everyone. Food was hot and well cooked. Very helpful staff, when it came to food allergies. Look forward to going again.

Was sat on a table near the kitchen, could hear the kitchen staff swearing, not pleasant at all , Patricia was are server , not very pleased with the service it was slow and spoke unprofessionally,Then went to the bar area and sat and had a few drinks bar man Jenell not pleasant at all , rude manner didn?t seem like he knew what he was doing .

We had a great reception when we arrived, very friendly staff, there was 5 adults and 5 children in our booking, we had fantastic service, the food was excellent, we had very fussy eaters in our party but all the food was eaten up, it was a birthday treat for my 9 year old grandson and the lady manager gave him a goddy bag which was very full and this made my grandson very happy , he was overwhelmed with happiness, so thank you to all the staff , you were great friendly and helpful, thank you for making a special family moment be a very successful and happy experience.

Very busy Friday evening. Had booked in advance and got seated straight away. Starters were amazing.With main, had to go ask for a sauce I ordered and steaks were a bit too charcoaly but still delicious. Staff was friendly and very apologetic for little errors made but all in all a good meal and would visit again

Been this place twice both experiences were horrible. The waitress were good but the floor manager was so rude. It wasn't only that she didn't apologised that we got charged with one meal twice, she also charged us the strawberry daiquiri that we sent back coz it was disgusting, No taste of strawberry at all instead a dead rosemary stick in it.Second time I went back with a group of 6 friends. The crispy calamari were saggy and it smells so bad. The steak were alright but the roast dinner was terrible, dead vegetables were floating in the water and the meat was tasteless.What made the whole dinner worse was the manager again who made us feel so little and not welcomed to this place. Acting like a dinner lady in kids school telling us to pass our plates towards her so she can tidy up, that she doesn't want to go around us coz she doesn't want knives falling into our lap. I'm disgusted! The worst service we've ever had, will never recommend the roast dinner and will never go back there again.

We were staying in the attached hotel and used this restaurant for dinner around 8pm after a long day out. The server was clearly waiting for the end of her shift as she appeared disinterested at best. Surprise surprise half an hour later she left the building. The food took a long time to come out. When it did the steak was over cooked and we got cheesy fries which were not asked for. The fries were promptly replaced but I didn?t complain about the steak as I didn?t want to wait any longer. When desert came we ordered the KittKatt sundae and the cookie dough & ice cream. The cookie dough ended up being two actual hard cookies and a scoop of ice cream. Not what was described. The sundae was made with half squirty cream, it did not look like the photo in the menu and was also disappointing. At the end the cheesy fries were still on the bill so there was a further wait while the receipt was amended. There is not much choice around the area but I do not intend to eat here again. Overall a very average below par experience.

Went for evening bar meal,person on table allocation not very helpful, but Callum the barman stepped up and offered us a space in bar area and looked after us for the evening. He's a credit to your company for customer service.
