So surprised by the incredibly helpful staff, especially the manager. I do not bank with the Halifax but they helped the person that I was with and I was very impressed.

Not the best. If you want an online account maybe ok. Don't go into bank unless you want to be patronised/not assisted despite only returning because were asked to by the branch managed Ben. Genuinely go across the street. Polite friendly and they helped. Unlike here

I can't thank the staff enough at the branch over the last year. They have helped with so many queries and have taken so much time out to help in my time of need. I say we need to save our branches on the high street as much as possible as you don't get customer service like anywhere else

Very decent Halifax bank, new cash deposit machine very good, old one hated big deposits, the staff are very friendly and very helpful, but it appears they will almost do anything to take you away from the counter, the fact there is only ever one till open is testament to this. 5 stars would be given if I didn't get a funny remark and look when depositing large sums. Despite my salary going in each month. You will not get rid of cash in this country whilst the Royal Mint is open. Stop trying! High Street banks are vital, particularly for the elderly. Very nice group of ladies here in general though.

I?ve been into Taunton branch twice to change name on my accounts and cards, even saw branch manager on second occasion, still haven?t got a new card with the right name on it 4 months later.Tried ringing the branch, no answer after 10Minutes. Appalling service and I?ve banked with the Halifax all my life.Please can someone sort this out for me. I work full time and cannot just pop into branch. This should have been sorted on my first visit.I have an account with NatWest also. They managed it!Very frustrated Wendy Welch

I gave IHT421 form in to the Taunton branch around 4 weeks ago. Nothing happened, so I went in again and asked why the IHT had not been paid? They knew nothing about the form. So I had to start again. This time the form was emailed to bereavement dept over 2 weeks ago and the IHT still hasn?t been paid.

Hi Halifax , I can only get to your branch on a Saturday , as I am at work in the week ,and cant take time off and need to pay in a cheque, dont do online banking , Would recommend opening Saturday and close one day in the week say Monday, this is a resent event and progressively been closing your branches, and not happy , I have been banking with you since the 1980's and cant believe the lack of service these days regards

Called them during their opening times, every 10 minutes for 2 hours. No-one ever answered. Trying to arrange a meeting.
