“Stayed for 2 nights while in the area. Simon is a great host even kept the place open when my flight was delayed and I missed the 9pm check in time. Lovely hot showers in room, the room was spotless too. Bar and restaurant could not fault, food was great! would recommend to anyone in the area wanting a place to stay and eat/drink.”

“Nipped in for a meal. Both chose Honey Glazed Belly Pork. Mash and French beans had a great gravy with an additional sauce. When asked we automatically respond with, "Yes, fine", but should have asked where the meat was. The pork rind was full of flavour but certainly not full of meat. Suspect the rind had been shaved off the meat before it became pulled pork. Another little niggling point was the condiments- can you seriously be a restaurant after replacing cruets with paper packets of salt and pepper?”

“Went for my 31st, the pub itself is really cosy with a real fire as you enter.The food was gorgeous, amazing roasts and can't recommend more !!The cauliflower cheese itself is worth another visit ! ?”

“We always come here for at least one meal when we're in the area. Steaks are always excellent, really tasty starters and deserts. Very friendly service and great for dogs too. It lived up to its usual standards this weekend. Fresh cooked pizzas in the summer are delicious too.”

“When I visited Taunton bensons i was greated by Will, he really paid attention to my needs and as some that has had multiple spinal surgery it is vital i get the correct bed and mattress for myself, he was patient attentive and in no way pushy. i would highly recommend paying him a visitThank you Will!”

“Reception staff extremely helpful and polite. Three people booked in for the room. Therefore three mugs, glasses, spoons should be placed in the rooms.Rooms: Family room adequate, though a bit small. Bathroom small. Three people in the room, therefore, need to equip room for three people. One chair is not enough. Only two mugs, glasses etc. provided. Though staff helpful in providing extras ty.Nearby activities: Cinema, bowling, and McDonald's near bySafety: Keycard operates all doors so feel safeWalkability: Could do with more disabled parking.Food & drinks: Beefeater breakfast is good value, there is plenty of choice.Unfortunately, dinner was a bad experience. Chips were piping hot, but chicken was warm, obviously had been left on the side too long. Waitress did offer to reheat the chicken, but I declined as microwave would make it dry.
