This was a fantastic pub for drinking, with many ciders on tap as expected in Somerset! The design is beautiful from the vintage features and Taunton frames on wall, counter is well-presented also. We were in Taunton for a couple of days and dropped in here both nights. Great pub, friendly staff with a great atmosphere and choice of beers and cider. Will definitely visit again when in
A “country pub” in town. Masses of local cider, real Ale straight from the barrel, craft ale from Bristol brewers Wiper and True and Arbor.
Delicious food, specialising in Pieminister pie and mash.
Deceptively large, with a hidden secret passage, (look through the bookcase downstairs!) friendly staff and locals.
The Plough has long been a must do experience when visiting Taunton. Now serving organic Sunday lunches.
