After calling into the shop with a small donation. I was asked by the very friendly lady on the till. If i could pass it through the door at the back of the shop. ....where i was greeted buy a female who looked at the 2 bags i had. Then to the item in my hand. And in a raised voice told me " we cant take that. So we dont want it. The item was a chrome bathroom corner shelf. It was in excellent condition. Had no chips holes ertc. And non electric. I asked why they wouldnt take it. And was very sharply told. ,"because we dont". I am a regular spender in this shop. And have never felt so embarrassed. Other customers were within hearing distance. It made me feel terrible. Needless to say.i will not go to this shop again. Its pretty obviouse that you can be very picky about donations. I worked for over 20yrs in charity shops. And would never dream of speaking to a customer in such a way. J,FRawlinson.
