“Our stay was a highlight of our 3-week UK visit. The room was large and well-appointed with large windows overlooking a tree-lined street. The Art Deco decor had been thoughtfully restored without sacrificing modern comfort. The staff was very friendly and accommodating (the barman went out of his way to meet a special request). The full-service restaurant offered a range of tasty meals at reasonable prices, and the included hot-cold breakfast was among the best we had. The location put it within walking distance of The Danum Library and the town center. We would definitely stay here again.Noteworthy details: For anyone attracted to Art Deco, the hotel was a gem - lots of deco detailing with just a bit of kitsch. The hotel is a popular venue for special events and it's not surprising.”

“Needed somewhere close to Hatfield for an event, very reasonably priced for a basic hotel room. It was clean and had the required facilities, bed was comfortable. Mix up on pre paid WIFI was soon sorted by the reception staff.Food & drinks: It is located on a service station, so expect to pay over the odds for food and drink”

“We just needed a decent, clean place for the night to break up a long drive from Scotland to London. This was perfect. Very clean room, friendly welcoming staff, not too expensive and restaurant next door was way better than expected in terms of service and food! Happy to recommend for anyone looking for a bed for the night which won’t cost a fortune!”

“Nice sized clean room, comfortable bed, fluffy towels, kettle with tea & coffee, friendly staff. Good location for travelling. Would stay again. Good value hotel stay, 5* across the board based on this being a 1* basic hotel.”

“Ideal location, lots to do nearby including a nice lakeside walk, ice skating, bowling with escape rooms, and an Asda for petrol and snacks! Rooms a bit warm but comfortable and two fans provided helped. Staff friendly and helpful. Considering it's opposite a pub and we stayed on a Friday night was very quiet!Food & drinks: Wouldn't rate the Brewers opposite, staff were helpful but food was average and there are better places to eat on the estate nearby. (Nandos, Frankie and Bennys, Pizza Express, and a really good takeaway burger place).Noteworthy details: When we stayed (Sept 2023) the internet in the rooms was awful, could barely load a single webpage, reception said even the ultimate WIFI wasn't better, and our mobile internet had the same issues, so if you need/want internet, try somewhere else until it's fixed. (No one knew when that would be!)”

“We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and comfort of the Premier Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good, the bedroom very clean and the bed really comfortable. It was in a very good position for access to the town and I had a great view of the Minster.”

“First time here.To be honest, we only stay at Travelodges because they are dog friendly and relatively cheap. We had a room at the back with a great view of the lakes.Would probably return when the weather is sunnier. It is what is cheap, basic in a good location.”

“Really great stay. Came and stayed over night for the races. I was able to drop my bag early in the day and then was taken to my room by the time I returned. My room looked like it had recently been refurbished and was sport on. A good breakfast too. The location is great for the centre of town.”

“You park in the car park near the rooms. You need to register your car at reception else you may be charged £100.The rooms are nice, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, TV which worked, kettle, tea, coffee, hair dryer, but only one plug socket for TV, kettle, phone , laptop etc.So you can't boil kettle and watch TV at the same time. You can't charge phone and watch TV.Staff are friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick.Location is very good near racecourse, Asda, petrol station, leisure centre. Not far from town centre. They threaten to evict you if you tamper with smoke detector. They charge £11.00 or so for breakfast. The room was clean. The bath slightly small but worked well.”
