In theory nothing wrong with the store itself, but the car park is a magnet for aggressive beggars and the problem has become worse in recent times. I've been followed to the cash machine, my children approached in the car, verbally abused, etc. It is not a safe place to be. The car park is Tesco property so not sure why security guards are only concerned with inside the store? Until Tesco deal with this problem then better off going elsewhere.

Thrown out and banned for trying to return a faulty item, I kid you not! This is the only review I've ever written but I feel compelled to share my experience in this store as it was so awful.I bought a smartwatch for a friend, which was not fit for purpose, it gave wildly incorrect readings (for pulse, Blood Oxygen etc) which I knew as I have a high quality watch myself which gave completely different (and accurate) readings, as well as this my phone would not allow the Android app that should go with it, to install, despite my phone being more than capable of handling it (The instructions say Android v.4 minimum is required, my phone is Android 11).This meant I could not adjust the time on the device which was several hours fast so even as a basic time piece it was equally useless.I took the watch back and after waiting around 15 minutes for the manager to attend having been contacted by the customer service desk I was told by him that under no circumstances would the watch be refunded without the original packaging, despite the fact tat I had the receipt, and that I had only purchased the watcha few hours earlier. I explained that I had checked their website and done a few google searches such as "return, tesco, no packaging" etc to see if heir policy would allow or disallow and nothing came up at all suggesting this was not something which would cause any problems, it seemed the packaging would not be an issue if the device was effectively useless. The manager was being very difficult from the start and eventually I decided to leave and take it up with the manufacturer and as I was leaving the building I noticed the manager tell the securty staff not to allow me to return to thestore.I then challenged the manager as to what reason he had to ban me from the store to which he replied that I had been threatening and abusive. I asked hi what I said and he replied he did not have to tell me (or the security staff)Fortunately, I had noticed from the start that this manager had a problem in dealing with my return so I recorded the conversation at the customer service desk where I calmly and politely explained the above (the phone was just sitting on the counter, he was not aware it was recording) and I restarted the recording when I asked him why he was anning me from the store, which he was aware of. Presumably this was why he state he did not need to repeat the "abuse" I'd given him as he now knew I had proof he was lying.I am willing to pass both video recordings on to Tesco and they will also be made available to the public via consumer rights websites.I have never been treated in this way in my 54 years and have never been banned from any store before or had any issues of any kind with staff members. I have never, either, had such a difficult time trying to return an obviously useless product which I was perfectly willing to show why and how it didn't work as it should have. I suspect the manager knew from the moment he was contacted by customer services that the watch I was returning was useless and made him mind up to refuse a refund if he could, and when he found I didn't have the box he felt his work was done. Absolutely disgusting attitude.Save to say I have done a little more research and bought a decent watch and the recipient didn't mind it being late for her birthday, I hope tha manager is proud of himself and might think about removing the rubbish from his shelves - perhaps he thinks that because the watch is less than £8 people won't bother returning it? I won't bother buying it next time, even fromthe Tesco stores I am still allowed into and I will have to be hard pushed to ever use the company ever again. I've used their car insurance and other services as well as their stores for many years with no issues but being embarrassed by an angry manager in a huge bsy store (Rotherham) is simply not worth the bother. In case there are other managers at the store who may be mistakenly suspected of this appalling behaviour, he's the short man with the go

Do not, I repeat DO NOT! Give your phone to anyone in here. My friend foolishly did when someone gave him a whole story about how, his mum was in hospital and the bloke gave it to his friend and they tried to run off with it. Lucky I was able to tackle the guy down and get it back.

I have just left this store, and managed to catch my bus ( just),..the checkout assistant, started to pick her ear and the proceeded to " serve" me.filthy.. I wasn't pleased but had to go to the toilet and then catch my bus.i had no time to get a refund, and re- shop for those items, and had to take them with me.its an insult to have an unhygienic sort then handling my stuff.i complained to an assistant who said " she was just cleaning her ears"... The unjust always seem to stick together don't they? Stinking unions!!!!!

Sarah on the self checkouts is brilliant :) just unfortunately it's either she's on her own with no help then people start getting mad cos she's not there to help them at the drop of a hat, or the other staff are chatting away amongst themselves! So unfair!Security don't seem bothered either so hardly makes you feel safe shopping

Big Tesco Store. Up stairs via lift, travelator or stairs from car park. Car park is nearly always very busy. Can sometimes have rough sleepers/homeless/beggars by store entrance from car park.

This day I had a terrible Experience after making my purchases with my wife and my 8-year-old daughter, the cashier treated me super dismissive and annoying when I used my club card and my school bauchers her attitude and the way he looked at me was disgustingly humiliating. She was an older lady. I think that if that job stresses her out, she should stay home drinking tea and eating cookies because her service is terrible. It seems like that job makes her very unhappy. I would like to make a more formal complaint because my wife, my daughter and I feel bad, we feel like we are being discriminated against by that poorly educated woman.
