“Good sized store to get what you’re after. I found the staff very polite and friendly when I asked if they had a particular Star Wars reference book I was after. Was quite busy but it’s getting toward Christmas so it’s understandable.”

“I'm consistently impressed with Waterstones in Sheffield City Centre. Not only does it have a great selection of books, but the customer service is also top-notch. The staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to help, making each visit a pleasure. I have to give a special shout-out to their hot chocolate – it's the best I've had in the city!”

“Small, quaint second hand bookstore in Sheffield City Centre on the main road. Very helpful young ladies at the reception. The entry is level and i faced no problems going in with a pram. Steps inside. In the front of the shop are some books, a dvd collection and a vinyl collection. Some other items as well such as containers, cups, scarves. Inside is a properly labelled section containing a decent collection of books. Nice shop.”

“One of my favourite charity shops! It's especially good for books; both fiction and non-fiction. There is a broad range of non-fiction books, and they are sorted into subject categories. This shop also stocks somevinyl records, general bric&brac, toys&games, and new Oxfam gifts and cards. The staff are friendly and cheerful too. Well worth a visit, and for a very good cause.”

“Location: Outside British Heart Foundation charity shop on Ecclesall Road. Clothing & aides: hiking boots, waterproof jacket, leather gloves, walking stick and a ruck sack on my back.Conditions: Path looked wet but didn't appear icy. When walking ahead, I immediately lost my footing and landed on my back. Upon recovering myself with the help of a kind stranger, on closer inspection, we discovered that there appeared to be a small rippling mains water leak rising up through the pavement. It seems that the water was hiding the fact that there was a layer of ice below. I felt it was extremely important to seek help from the shop directly opposite the scene and asked the owner if they could contact the council to report the danger. The owner told me that they had already reported the leak the week before and as we were discussing what to do next, another person became a victim of the hidden and lubricated ice. The owner kindly took charge and spead salt over the affected area and placed a yellow cone in the middle. Thanks to the 2 wonderful staff who were there to help their local community keep safe xx”

“Nice charity shop, best for books which are all justly priced but not the cheapest. I’ve found some good ones in here, usually within a great range of genres and all in good nick. Lots of quality furniture but never been too impressed with the clothes selection, often a bit pricey too.”

“Every now and then, exceptional service surprises us and WHSmith in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital managed just that on Saturday 13-Aug.We arrived at the store at 4pm, to find it was closing for the manager's break...the shutters were down, and the key was in the lock. The Manager, Carol, was kind enough to reopen briefly so we could grab a sandwich. The quality of the sandwiches in this store are top notch and we always find them fresh and tasty. Unfortunately, our reviewer has been several times recently whilst visiting a sick relative.Carol at WHSmith, we thank you.”

“I had a metal aorta valve operation here. I was treated with respect and kindness. My total stay was about one week. One year later, I have returned to good health and I am grateful to this hospital for their expert surgery and care. By the way, the hospital food was pretty good. On the downside, around the Cardiology ward there was very little mobile phone signal. Many patients could not get a call our of their phones. Also the WiFi is non-existent in many wards.”

“Covid has made me look back on memories and this one stands out. Twice I had the pleasure of visiting the S-bound station on my way to Wembley to see my team play. First by coach against Man City in the 14' League Cup and then the 19' League One Play-Off Final v Charlton Athletic by car with my girlfriend. The first time was a momentary pit-stop but I stayed longer with my girlfriend and had a burger from BK. I thought personally it was spacious, light and clean. This is an area I feet Motorway Services usually get a bad rep I also thought it had a good layout.”
