I love Poundland, and I love this Poundland, but it doesn't work very well: why were the normal, useful, practical shopping baskets phased out in favour of cumbersome, unpleasant-to-use trolley baskets? Now I don't use a basket at all (the trolley baskets are uncomfortable to reach in to) so actually buy LESS.You can see it every time you're there: people buying the few items they can carry in the crook of one arm rather than use a faffy trolley basket.Just like other places that have this silly basket policy, I would actually buy MORE if Poundland brought back normal baskets.And will the self-checkouts ever work again...?
