No one seems to know what they are doing here, the front office is unclean and paperwork everywhere pulled up and staff where smoking out the front so when you walk into reception you get a face full of smoke.Decided not to take my car here purely from my experience needed quite a bit of work doing brakes etc and heard about brakes for life but would rather take to another garage as this place looks like cowboys run it not professional at all

Couldn?t do my MOT as they can?t test you vehicle if it has a toe bar, nothing was said when booking 2 weeks prior and wasn?t told until an hour after I dropped it off on a Saturday, the same vehicle had been mot?d there this time last year.Also tried for a quote for brake pads and discs on a different vehicle with there quote being more than the main dealer

Go elsewhere for a job on your car!! I took my car into Halfords after it broke down and would not turn back on. I had to get a recovery vehicle to take me there and the recovery mechanic suggested it may be 1 issue which I told Halfords but I also told them I was not certain if it was that and was told by the recovery mechanic. They charged me a lot of money for their ?repair? which did not fix my issue at all and they would not refund me and said that I had told them it was the issue they apparently fixed even though I specified I expected them to investigate what the cause was as I was not certain it was the issue told to me by the recovery mechanic. I also know someone else who recently went in for a simple coolant change and they messed that up and broke the heating when it is freezing outside! They tried making an excuse that he an issue that had been fixed a month and a half before. After arguing his point (luckily he knows about cars) he was able to get a refund from them

If I could give these a zero I would . Issues experienced so far - car being kept overnight when we were told it was a day job , for no reason or notice other than them not telling us it?s done . Young lad let wind grab the door which knackered the tensioner so we went elsewhere to get that fixed , serviced but didn?t clear the service light , motd and gave advisories then on retest failed on something else - spoke to alternative garage who said that other thing is actually advisory . Basically avoid at all costs .

Let me narrate the ordeal I experienced at the Halfords Autocentre in Lichfield.23/09/2023 ? I had a scheduled appointment for my MOT. I received a call from the Autocentre in the morning to say it had to be cancelled as their staff were absent. I was given a new appointment for 04th Oct ? the day my MOT expires.04/10/2023 ? MOT test failed, and I needed to replace the brake pads and an indicator light to fix the issue. I was promptly given an appointment for 06 Oct to carry out the necessary work and retest.06/10/2023 ? when I arrived at the centre, I was surprised to find that there was no appointment in their system at the scheduled time. The staff member who had confirmed the appointment was absent, and the other staff were unaware of it. I was given another appointment for the next day.07/10/2023 ? The same scenario repeated ? once again, there was no record of my appointment, and the staff I had previously interacted with were unavailable. When I expressed my frustration and disappointment, I was told with a straight face that I was ?rude? and that they had the right to refuse service if I tried to be ?funny?. I then got the next appointment for 2 days later.09/10/2023 ? dropped off my car at 1:30 as scheduled and they estimated completion time of 4pm. However, when I returned to the centre at around 4, my car was still in the same parking spot, untouched. At around 5:00 PM, they finally took my car in for repairs, and the work was concluded around 6:00 PM. It was quite evident they had to rush to complete the work as there were other customers chasing for cars at the same time.The next morning, I was gutted to see grease stains left all over my car seats, on the door etc. (see some pictures attached) by their technicians. How reckless is this? This negligence now requires me to spend £50 to £100 to get this mess professionally cleaned!Whilst I was waiting at their centre, I witnessed other unhappy customers airing their grievances, including appointment cancellations, delays, incorrect fault diagnoses etc.I have no intention of returning to this or any other Halfords Autocentre in the future.

These guys got me out of a big rut after I their mobile fitting services only managed 3/4 wheels due a stuck nut, and couldn?t come back till after I needed the car. After explaining my predicament Halfords auto centre not only fitted me in to fit the last tyre, but when I arrived informed me it?d be an even bigger job as the mobile guy had mixed up one of the front and rear tyres! There wasn?t anything in it for these guys but they went out of their way to help me anyway. Credit to Halfords and I?ll definitely use them again.

Booked an MOT twice with this centre; first one cancelled by them the day before the test (14th Sep). Then rearranged at their earliest convenience (tomorrow 22nd) which I explained was right upto the MOT expiry date (this Sunday) and tonight i received a voice message at 5.30pm saying they are cancelling it again. Cannot get a retest in time for Sunday so now left without a car for work. DISGUSTING customer service.

Cancelled my MOT on the day of the appointment TWICE! Leaving me with an expired MOT and no legal way to get to work. Simply unacceptable. Previously a happy customer of this garage but will no longer return.££££s of business lost across my household & business vehicles.

Outstanding service in every way. Staff are friendly, helpful knowledgeable and above all honest. They go out of their way to help you and also to deliver a quality top notch customer service . I can highly recommend them and I would never go any where else.
