The opticians shop was very cold and the staff had to wear coats to keep warm. It wasn?t until we left by the mail entrance to the Boots store that we realised that the double doors were being kept wide open for some reason.

I have been going to Boots? Opticians for many years. Unfortunately, I have decided to go elsewhere from now on. Some of the staff are kind, professional and helpful - Mitra stands out every time as an exemplar of absolutely excellent customer service and as a truly lovely woman - but I have also experienced attitudes from other members of staff that express none of those virtues and consequently let the entire shop and brand down.During a time when I was unemployed due to serious health problems, I was treated with appalling insensitivity and discourtesy. On two separate occasions, different members of staff loudly stated, in front of other customers, that I was in receipt of Universal Credit when completing my forms. I found this most distressing and humiliating, and it is surely a breach of privacy. I would have thought Boots would only employ people with good manners and the ability to behave professionally, discreetly and respectfully.The costs are also not transparent. When it comes to pay, there are all sorts of other charges added to those on display, and I personally have felt shocked by the final prices. I have not felt duped in this way by an alternative high street optician.In short, the service falls very far below the standard I would have expected from Boots, a brand most people assume they can trust.

The staff could not have been more helpful and i wish i could give 5 stars but i was freezing the whole time,staff should not be working in such a cold place.3 small fan heaters to warm the whole area which did nothing.The last time i went was 2 years ago and was told the heating was getting fixed.nothing has changed .to be honest it was warmer outside
