It's been a while since I stayed in travel lodge, not sure what's happened but its giving like cheap motel vibes, we paid about 80 quid, so don't get me wrong I wasn't expecting the ritz and tbf the room was spacious, there was tea and coffee, towels, extra pillows. So if you need a place to put your head down at least minute then go for it. But I do remember travelodges being a bit better in quality, the bathroom was grungey as, the shower curtain had seen better days. No hand soap, and the body wash well IT was iffy. This is a service station hotel though so maybe I needed to lower my standards. And tbf I was under the weather so maybe my opinion is tainted, but I was surprised, it's been a few years but I don't remember travel lodge being that low down the chain.Anyway the chap in the front desk was nice, friendly and helpful. No breakfast but will help you out with a cold 'to go' food bag if you need something. And there is a service station in walking distance.

Clean comfortable room 217 was quiet, no road noise at all. As it's actually on M6 northbound you have to stay on till J15 if you're heading back to Stafford. Reception staff friendly and helpful. No hairdryer so take your own. Good value for money. We would recommend and use again

Very friendly staff, away from noise of road, right next to services, good prices. £20 for our pet which was useful. Would definitely stay again. Thank

Very clean, staff lovely. Nice wee walk for the dogs around the fountain. Food court steps away from our room. Used this travelodge twice in a month, ideal.

I?ll give it 3 because one of most important things in long journeys when you stay somewhere if the place where you stayed fulfilling people?s expectations then it?s good otherwise it?s just the showmanThere should be drinking water availabilitySecondly charging slots should work most of them not workingNoteworthy details: Charging slots are not working most of them are not in use

Convenient for travelling North on M6. Services onsite with KFC, burger king, m&s, Costa etc...Only thing that let it down was old style key doors meant you only get 1 key & if there's 2 of you that's annoying plus a bit noisy with cars driving in late.Noteworthy details: If your travelling with a dog there's a nice size green space outside.

I stayed at this Travelodge for a night on my way to the Lake District and was pleasantly surprised.I had called the day before to request a quiet room and Joe, who took the call, made sure I had a very quiet room on the first floor at the end of a passage. When I arrived, Joe was on duty and he remembered me from the phone call I'd made the day before, which was great as I felt most welcome. He was very friendly as well as being helpful and pleasant and that 's what makes a difference - personal service delivered with a smile! The room was clean and comfortable and the Moto service area shops were right next door so I could get something to eat without having to travel somewhere in the car.All in all it as a pleasant stay and, whilst Travelodges are quite basic, this one had everything I needed for an overnight stay. Thanks to Joe for making me feel so welcome and for being so helpful!
