Julia the manager at Stoke festivals. She was not accepting a faulty item. The item was a smartwatch that is supposed to count your steps . Julia said even if you move your hand a tiny bit . It's fine for it to count 100 steps in less then 20 seconds . As it's motion sensor . She did not want to return the faulty item . Also she did not acknowledge the 30 day policy of returning a item if not happy . I literally had the item less then 1 hour . I felt very racially abused by her behaviour and attitude towards me . It was like she wanted to make a fool of me being Asian infront of the other customers.

I cannot stress to you enough, how poor the quality of service here is. I cannot speak for the staff only for the management member who served me, Richard. I simply wanted a gift receipt to go with the mobile phone. I?ve purchased for a family member as a Christmas giftArgos are publishing quite heavily their gift receipt service. Be warned if you purchase in store from the terminals you cannot get a gift receipt apparently, but there is no signs and nothing within the terminal to tell you thisI waited ages to be served, I was told by Richard that the solution to my problem was that he would refund the item and I could repurchase it. What he didn?t tell me was that actually, I would be purchasing two until some undetermined point in the future when they would return my money.I called the store the following day, they were closed when I got home and I spoke to Richard. Richard had the audacity to tell me that they only tell customers that it takes five working days to return their money if they ask. Now I?m not sure if he?s breaking a consumer law, but certainly a moral one. When I challenge that he knew very well what I wanted to do, and that he had intentionally not given me the information he said well, if you want to complain about it, you can complain head office. I said I will complain, but I think you should apologise, his response was that he apologise (he hadn?t) and when I pointed out that quoting company policy is not an apology, he took great umbridge and put the phone down.I share this story with you as a warning so that you don?t fall into the same trap I did. Nobody wants to pay for something twice just so that they can get a receipt.

Writing from a tech perspective: Decent shop with decent selection, you can get an occasional good deal on certain things like switch controller for £8 etc. However, Amazon and Currys are much better imo for prices, delivery and selection. Argos have been caught in the past raising prices and then putting a sale on it afterwards not giving much of a deal, mainly on TVs or general black Friday tech. Argos is only really good if you are looking for certain products that may be out of stock in Currys.

I went in last night to collect a few eBay packages, 2 out of the 3 had barcodes for them to scan, I tried to explain to the manager that that the last item was indeed in the store showing proof of delivery but he refused to accept it, later coming back saying it was not in the store, yet one hour after leaving I got an email saying it's available for collection so it was indeed in the store,I got served by a lazy manager who couldn't be bothered spending a few minutes looking for my package, I wonder who found it in the end him or another member of staff.I have worked in retail myself for 5 years and if I was that lazy my manager would drag me in the office so fast my head would spin.

I try return an item at this store today that I brought 1 hour ago, the rude worker didn?t help at all! He literally said I can?t do anything and didn?t ask for a manager or anything! I was very disappointed with the customer service! All I wanted to do is return an item I brought for my iPad because it wasn?t compatible with my device! I have used this store since I was a kid and I will not be returning! This member of staff needs to be spoken to as there was no need for this attitude.

I ordered a phone online. I got it through delivery at home. When i received it I noticed that the seal of the phone's box was broken. I drove to Argos festival park where I asked for a refund or another sealed phone. The argos employee called the manager and she said to me that I can only send back the phone through courier only because was an online purchase. I told her that it would be easier if I could just left the phone with them and get a refund... She saod no again that is nothing she can help me with. I drove to argos Tunstall, where theanager there got me a refund in a few minutes. For the woman manager of day shift from Argos Festival Park ( she's blonde), if you are reading this, I want you to know that you are useless.... the company would do good if they would demote you and put someone more capable...

argos keeps emailing me that I owe money I bought a hedge cutter from Tunstall but took it straight back Tunstall manager was so unpleasant and wouldn't refund I took it back to festival park where she refunded straight away but I keep getting Demands I rang the. told them about this they asked for dob which they have on my account is this a SCAM

Nobody would pick up the phone. Placed an order for collection on the same day and got an email that will be available in the next 3 days. Tried calling a few times and nobody picked up

Bought 2 microSD cards for neither of them to work. Tried to return the same day and they refused as the packaging was damaged for resale?! First of all I?d like to see how they open one of these without damaging the packaging, secondly they don?t work so why would you try to resell?!
