We were here today, we didnt know you only go in if you know what you want to buy. Customers have to stand outside in the cold to look at the stock through the window. When we went inside we were sent back out in a rude manner.The lady seemed very snobbish and treated us like we weren't worthy of her time.As far as I'm concerned, I'm glad they are closing down. Pity!

I have picked up a ring today that was sooo sentimental to me, it was broken in two pieces and needed a complete overhaul as it was many decades old. The staff in Goodwins were so empathetic and kind, excellent service as always, we had our engagement and weddings ring from them so returned with no hesitation. The ring is absolutely stunning. Really cant thank them enough, you have mended a broken heart for sure, bless you all. I can highly recommend, Goodwins are definitely 5 stars +++++++++

Professional Jewellers but with a smile. I love the staff who work there. I went in on Saturday to get a valuation for my grandma's gols locket. They were honest telling me right away they couldn't take the item as it had an engraving but did value it for free and advised what sites or shops I should go to get a fair price. They really offered good advice on what they think the item is actually worth which gave me enough ammunition to shop around or for me to make a decison what to do online. The staff knew what they doing, even cleaned the item for free. My only disappointment was that I wasn't there as a customer. I hope next time I go I will go with the intention to purchase. Lovely, approachable staff but also professional. Top marks!!!!

I bought a small leather bracelet, which unfortunately had a loose catch and fell off whilst I was out walking and sadly lost. I wrote to Goodwins explaining what had happened and they very kindly (and unexpectedly replaced it free-of-charge). Excellent customer service and I will buy from them again.

What a day! Goodwins have given me an absolutely amazing service. I still believe in spite of everything that people are truly great at heart. I didn?t get the two kind ladies names at the shop this evening. But even with a last minute ordeal with me getting married Saturday. Goodwins turned my wedding ring around in less than 5 minutes! I?ve met hundreds of kind people but I?ve never felt so well served. I drove all the way home feeling very warm with the kind gesture that they have made. You?ve truly helped me and I can?t thank you enough!I would highly recommend this small business as they?re the best ones! Goodwin jewellers goes up in reputation in my eyes every time I visit. It is located off the beaten track in Hanley but the staff there are so professional and friendly. Always willing to help and find out more about your piece of jewellery, but to say if the work is not economic. They have their own workshop to carry out most jobs. Well worth a look!

I made an online purchase with Goodwins Jewellers and the service was fantastic. Prices were very competitive which was why I shopped with them, postage was free and fast (I'm not sure whether this was a promotion but was sent 1st Class) and there was a good choice of items.It was a wonderful surprise that the chain I purchased came gift wrapped with a bow in a lovely box.Thank you Sue for preparing my order, I'm very happy and would definitely like to shop with Goodwins again.

I placed my first order with Goodwins since I am in North America, and the service and communication along the way was much better than I received when dealing with some of the jewellers here. Sue, took time to answer all of my questions, address my concerns and help me with payment. My order was shipped right away and I received it much earlier than I thought I would. I'm definitely going to be placing my next order with Goodwins before I even consider a local jeweller after being spoiled with their service.
