Friendly welcome on a cold day, excellent service and a good sized bowl of soup. Recommend the cheese toasty . Dog friendly too.

Lovely bakery in Aldeburgh with a good selection cakes, pastries and savoury goods like sausage rolls and empanadas plus coffee and a cafe attached.

Don't let the pretty presentation of the food in the window fool you. I've been put off going to any bakery for a while now because of this place. The sausage rolls were terrible and they repeated themselves on us all for a few hours, and the cinnamon roll was very dry.You would get better-tasting bakery items at Sainsbury's.

Came here based on an apparent great reputation and amazing food. Disappointing.Food was below average. Sausage rolls overpowered by garlic and not even very tasty. Got some heated up and some to take away and the ones heated were warm outside and cold in the middle. Cinnamon swirls were hard and tasted stale. In fact all the pasty on every item we ordered was stale. Most of the order ended up in the bin.All the food looks very nice visually but the taste does not justify the cost, not even remotely. Service was average. Atmosphere average. Overall would not recommend. We prefer the bakery bits from our local supermarket, which says a lot for the quality.

If you want a cheesy, gooey, scrumptious toastie and a cauldron off delicious soup for very very good value then go too magpies.

Great vegan bakery options - delicious!

Staff were polite but doing bare minimum interaction. Coffee good, but gf bacon sandwich very poor - dry bread and more fat than meat on bacon.

Charming little cafe, with a wonderful assortment of cakes, tarts and cookies. Great coffee and atmosphere, and being a seaside resort the clientele are lovely too. Staff are very professional and kind. Glad we stopped by in a chilly February during half term ?? ?

Really disappointed by this. The queues out the door (and cost) suggested it would be great. But my sausage roll was horrible - though the pastry was delicious the sausage was awful, super garlicky and far too big a lump of meat. The dog had half the sausage and yet I?m still burping it up hours later. Husband?s Moroccan veggie one was delicious however. Also: chocolate ginger brownie was very average and couldn?t taste the ginger at all. Bread and butter pudding slice was nice but tasted of fruit cake, not B&B pudding. Totally mediocre and £14 for four items.

My vocabulary is too modest to express profound and overwhelming positive impression while eating in this place. You will not

We visited on a very busy New Year's Eve at lunch time. There was a bit of a wait to get seated as we were a group of 5, but Lilly was great at making us feel welcome while we were waiting!Once we were seated the service was friendly and prompt. We ordered from the breakfast menu which had a good selection, including catering for veggies (2 of us) and gluten free (1 coeliac). The food was very tasty (I loved the vegan black pudding) and came quick enough given how busy they were.I would definitely visit again!Vegetarian options: Veggie and vegan options availableDietary restrictions: Gluten free options well marked and lots available
