Walked in having not booked, staff couldn't be more helpful. Made us some toasties to take away, much welcome after our walk! The best takeaway tea I've ever had too. Thank you for the most wonderful service. First time visiting but will definitely be back.

Didn't eat here, whilst waiting for slow service we spotted a load of flies around the food, not all was covered so we left before they got around to ordering. Area was nice but table cloth and menu were the same quality as a grubby truck stop, curled laminated menus just laying on table. Place a real let

A little gem, lovely attentive staff and great food the scones are a must try! Beautiful hall and surroundings and the shop is well worth a look, highly recommend.

Arrived 40 mins before closing but still got service with a smile in this slightly off the beaten track tea room behind a grand house. Superb cakes, fantastic pot of loose leaf tea, great service, we were travelling through but if you like nice cake & decent tea this is worth just getting 3 mins off the main road for!!

We have visited the tearooms twice recently. The first time was just for a snack lunch but we liked it so much we returned today for a precooked afternoon- a 94th birthday celebration for my husband?s aunt. Both times the service has been excellent and the food utterly delicious. This really is a gem!

We took our aged aunt here today for a birthday afternoon tea and everything about the afternoon was perfect - food, service, ambience and setting. She loved it especially the attention to detail - a candle on the cake. Thank you to everyone for making it such a special occasion.

As we had our small dog along with us, we were forced to sit in the cold courtyard area.We ordered some soup, eggs benedict plus victoria sponge cake then left to go to a local pub that allowed dogs in to keep warm.

What a little gem in the middle of magnificent countryside. Lovely friendly staff and lovely food (cakes, sandwiches etc for lunch). We will definitely be back soon.

Lovely private party visit. The owner is the tour guide, and is very knowledgeable. The house has a chequered history, which makes it interesting. Afternoon tea is prepared in-house and was good.

This place is unrecognisable to how it used to be. The setting is beautiful and the shop is of a high standard. Unfortunately once you step foot into the tea room all ambience is lost. Tables are starkly placed around the room with Covid barriers still up creating no atmosphere. It doesn?t feel clean and the marble tables and chairs are just so out of place. Smells of bacon when you walk in which is off putting. Limited menu which is the overpriced for the quality. Just awful compared with the exciting food options available elsewhere locally. Definitely won?t be back unless there are big changes. Suggest the owner visits other stately home tearooms for some inspiration and to get an understanding of the quality that should be on offer.

First time coming here and it was AMAZING!!!!I enjoyed it so much, and will definitely be coming back, not only do they have such amazing food but amazing staff and a general happy environment with lights, paintings, music and lovely decorations.The food is also cheaper than other places and all fresh and homemade.10/10 and will 100% be recommending this place to friends and family.
