As far as places-what-I-have-driven -past-and google-got-excited goes, this is right up there. I have driven past this place from various directions, and every time is a joy. I look forward to driving past again. I hear they sell food 'n that, might even go in one day, once I have finished driving past.

Probably the best IPA in East Anglia, great uncomplicated food and friendly service, just what a pub should

Lovely traditional pub in a very quaint little village. I'm not a massive eater and they were kind enough to accommodate for that. We all had roast beef dinner and was absolutely gorgeous. Many thanks to the chef because we turned up after dinner service (about 15 minutes) and still served us. Cracking little pub and very friendly staff.

Friendly pub. Stopped in whilst walking the Stour Valley Path and the landlord & landlady could not have been any more welcoming and accommodating.

Lovely country pub, great staff and for me a delicious shepherd's pie. Very tasty and succulent veg cooked in a traditional way. Superb. Give it a try you won't be disappointed!

I've visited many a 'local' in my time but the Eight Bells Bures takes some beating, on every level. Family owned for over forty years this village pub knows how to do it! Good food, beer and great staff. If you're looking for a genuine pub then look no further!

This place is incredible and the art from Susan fuller was something else. I highly recommend going here for a date night and a game of naked pool xx the best night ever.. also my current partner proposed to me here and I said no as I was wet and cold fromKayaking. One day tho we will have our wedding reception there. I have never experienced a pub like it, it has beautiful decor and the staff are so kind, we were blessed with Tetley tea and we bought a digestive biscuit and the pool was only 50p and the lady let me have 2 50ps for £1 xx brilliant dealI am going to tell the world about it as I am so proud to be known in the village of Bures
