Went to the oyster reach from my son's 23rd birthday.book the table for 6 sat down. Nice big round table. All clean tidy server came across order drinks then ordered food is very good. Choice of two courses. Three courses or 4 courses. Good selection and also good allergy card. What was given to my daughter, food came out hot. Very nice. Good value for money. Went to the restroom. It was clean. It was tidy. . plenty of hand soap and sanitizer. Overall 9 at 10. The glass had lip stick mark on round top ,so the glass wasn't washed properly but the server came straight over and replace the drink and a glass and everything was good, we were very well looked after by the server who took the menus and brought off food over. Think her name was Denise but she was very good. A credit to the oyster reach ,

Went on the 27th of December for a family meal and have been stuffering from mild good poisoning since. The first server left us sat there for close to 30 minutes before taking our drinks order, we had to chase up twice with him and his coworker before we got the drinks. Left for ages again before our food order was taken, this time by a different server.Most of us got our food around the same time but they forgot to put in one guest's starter order so we had to wait again for thay to arrive, then one main came out about ten minutes after the rest.The plant based festive roast was disgusting, everything was over cooked and REALLY over salted. The potatoes looked like they'd been cooked a few days ago, left in the fridge, and then chucked in the microwave for a couple of minutes. The plant filet and veggie sausage were burnt and dry and tasted horrific.Not my choice to have gone there, will be asking not to go there again.Vegetarian options: I don't know what company they get their veggie stuff from, but they should probably srop buying from them

My mum's car broke down on a cold winter morning in the oyster reach car park, she's waiting for the AA which as alway ETA gets later and later and she can't start the car. The oyster reach refuses her a table to have a coffee to keep warm on a -1 morning, absolutely

Went for the Xmas dinner and I must say it far surpassed my expectations! Lovely turkey, not compressed roll, crispy roasts, Yorkshire pudding and a good selection of veg. For a chain pub it's the best I've had. The staff were very helpful. The waiter said they were surprised how popular this meal has been. Having tasted it, I'm not surprised. Highly recommend.

Party of 10 catered for, and everyone enjoyed it. Generous portions, and all things considered, not too expensive. Possibly could have been a little quicker, but the place was full, and all our food came at the same time.

Seemed run down when I visited here for lunch - worn, dirty furniture, huge bar/restaurant almost empty, intrusive muzak and I had to go and find the one person serving. However, she was friendly and helpful, there were a couple of vegetarian options, our order arrived quickly and was excellent.

No one bothered to serve us. Asked if there was anyone to take order, then told had to order at the bar!! No notice to that effect anywhere! Only 2 of us in restaurant and still forgot to bring the tea we had ordered with the meal so had to go and chase!! My friends calamari was inedible and a few nachos with a bit of melted cheese for my meal was £5.29..... very overpriced!! Certainly won't return here again as standard of staff and food was not what one would expect from a Beefeater...

Went to this pub without booking a table at 5.10pm on a normal Sunday to be told I?m sorry we can?t seat you we have no tables until 8pm, you haven?t made a booking. Myself and a friend looked around to see multiple empty tables and the car park half full. The bar was empty and the outside area had one group of people drinking. we asked to sit in the bar area for food and was told no we have had over 200 orders going through the kitchen and we can?t accommodate you for two people for you in the bar area as we are short staffed. I have just logged onto my phone to see that I can book a table for 7pm for 2!! The guy serving us in a red checked shirt was clearly lying and was very hesitant when reading the screen and explaining they had no tables until 8pm. This is extremely poor customer service, considering we could book online and were turned away. This is my local and I will not be returning.
