Very friendly and helpful staff - Ok not the cheapest for glasses but I think you get what you pay for here. Never been a bother to pop in and get my glasses adjusted if needs be and I haven't been oversold a product like some other places either.

They cancelled my appointment, and only called with ?no caller ID? which looks like a marketing call so I didn?t pick up. No text or email was sent so I went all the way there and was turned away. Will use someone else instead.

Literally the most incompetent service possible. Unfortunately my company uses them for safety specs but they are unfamiliar with the process which has resulted in many wasted trips. Thanks for wasting time and money (fuel + parking) with no remorse or care given by the staff on multiple occasions.

Amazing experience, Amit the Optometrist was so thorough and put me at ease, made me laugh.Sam and Taelor who helped me with my glasses were amazing, Sam gave me all the time and patience I needed, as well as professional advice. I definitely feel looked after. Thankyou

Spent 2 hours trying to call them today, over the space of the day. No one answers the phone. Tried going through main number as well as direct. No reply. Not great when you need to speak to them urgently....

They was not helpful at all, had appointment yesterday kept making mistake with my name and my sight. I just walked out, went into vision express where they are more helpful and understanding

Much better experience than we had at Specsavers in Woodbridge (would not use them again). Helped us with examinations for two disabled children and one prescription. Although appreciate there are rules around this we did use you for a prescription and glasses but you refused to give us the pupillary distance measurement, part of the prescription. I see this purely as a high street marketing ploy to stop customers going online. When you have disabled children with autism it's not always easy to get them to go into busy shops and towns. Not providing this info is by choice and makes it awkward for customers to make choices on using services they wish without being tied to the opticians they used for the prescription. Personally I would say charge for this info and give customers the choice, this would fair. High streets end up losing out when they try to battle online retail in ways such as this. Overall still a good experience and would recommend Boots over other high street opticians. Thanks.

Amazing service and team. Optician was very helpful and gave me a lot of advice and information regarding my eye health and contact lense information, he went above and beyond. The Opticians Assistant was also very helpful with helping me find the right frames for my face. Thank you so much ?

Eye check was great. This was my 1st time at this store having used the now closed upper brook street store for the past 27 years. Getting into the building not so good as all doors closed apart from tavern street door. I entered sailmakers on floor 2 thinking I could get to opticians which is on floor 2 but no those entrances are blocked so had to go downstairs through the shopping centre out into the street into store through front door then back upstairs and to the opticians on floor 2. I guess the doors are blocked due to covid but it increased rather than decreased my risk. I spent 5 minutes in the shopping centre and had to walk passed 40 people whereas if I'd been able to use the door which is 10 metres from the opticians on same floor I would have passed 2 people! Also they are fully booked until August for eye tests. Maybe there is enough demand for that 2nd store after all.

Do not recommend it to anyone. It was last time with Boots Opticians. No one doesn't call you when your glasses are ready for collection, they don't answer the phone. When I came in after 3 weeks of waiting for the new pair of glasses the workers said they lost them! How is this possible? So ordered another one and again need to wait, when it was last time I came in to pick up my glasses, they had been with scratches! 2 months I'm without my new glasses and again I'm waiting for my "new" pair!

The eye-checks are fine. But around 6 months ago, I had booked in for an appointment (Glasses and lens), so I thought I will call up just to reconfirm (as they didn't send me a reminder email as I asked), but I tried calling about 30 times (Honestly not joking)... NO ONE PICKED UP. I tried for several days. I did check if they were open, I also had the correct number, and the automated service connected me to the right place. It rings for about 5 minutes and then cuts by itself. Still, no one picked up.Then some miracle happened, and I got through to someone on the day of my appointment and they confirmed with me that my appointment was going ahead. So I happily went, only to realise when I got there that my lens appointment was not even BOOKED in. APPALLING! I am not the person to cause an issue generally, so I said it's okay, I will do just the glasses appointment and asked them to book me in for my lens appointment. They told me that the next available one would be in 2 months. I couldn't do anything about it, so I agreed. And now I am back on square one because I have my lens appointment coming up soon, and I have been calling them almost the entire day (around 14 times), and still no one has picked up. The only thing I can do now is to just turn up for the appointment and hope that I have been booked in. Because once again, I haven't got any emails for confirmation. IT'S HONESTLY HORRIBLE. I suggest you find somewhere else if you can do so. As soon as I get the opportunity, I will change branches. I know it's more of a branch issue because I have been with BOOTS at another location, and they were great overall.
