Disappointed with service and staff. Purchased an oil radiator and asked if I could collect in the rear car park. Was promptly told no, as not considered a heavy item. I said it is if your 70 years old. Had problems carrying it back to car. Won't be using this shop again.

Thanks so much to Jane and Megan for going above and beyond to sort out a particularly complicated exchange. Brilliant customer service from both of them.

The post office used to hold the title of "Most miserable staff in Stowmarket", now it's Argos.

Absolutely awful customer interaction. Purchased a 'cheapie' watch. Waited near tills to pay while an older Argos gentleman argued the toss with a returns from a customer. I'm quite old myself but pretty laid back. Younger Argos gentleman who was apologetic about the delay was really polite. Once the older gentleman dispensed with his customer, he questioned my ability to not be able to check out at the ordering pod. This included a couple of 'huffs and puffs'. I left the purchase behind, not before commending the younger gentleman for his help. Retails a pretty tough business, but if you're not in the mindset to do it....then best not to do it.Poor service and not what Stowmarket needs in this time of recession ?

Customer services said I could return my product as it was broken and would get a new one for free in store. Went down there (on a hot day lugging it around Stowmarket) got to the store and they said the couldn't give us a new one. No apology.

Nipped into Argos today to buy a game that was released today, because it was an age restricted item I had to go to the checkout to purchase it, one female member of staff tried to help me due to a problem with her computer system she had to enlist the help of another member of staff who couldn't figure out why it wasn't in the system when the hub said order now collect right away! Enter the older gentleman and I use that term lightly he begun talking over the two ladies and saying the product isn't released today to which point I said it was and I got my phone to pull up the release date to which he then tried to bully and belittle me and talk over me, i showed him the release date to which he replied well we can't sell it till tonight as its not out today, how can you say a game isnt out today but you cant sell it until the evening is beyond me! The older gentleman is very abrasive and likes to belittle his fellow colleagues and talk over and down to his customers, the ladies promptly apologised and said they would try to update the computer system I took my custom to Asda where it seems like a sale is appreciated and within 30 seconds I had the game in my hand! As proof I have attached a picture of the game in question and it is indeed released today, another case of awful customer service from Argos I appreciate the help from the ladies who remained professional through the whole attempted sale

Sold me a used stock (clearly somebody else's return), when I returned it to get a refund, they told me it cannot be refunded as it was used. Check your items before you take them home.

Bit disappointed with this branch, explained that we had been stuck in traffic for over an hour trying to collect an order we need and would have got there just a few minutes after close is anyone able to help out? the response was no- we are closing the doors the minute it?s half 5. My parents have just spent an hour and a half travelling from Bury to collect an order to miss it by a couple minutes. I personally would have done it, can?t see how a couple minutes would have hurt anyone. Not very happy.

If you order from Argos, go and collect. Don't use their delivery service.Order delivered to wrong address. They wouldn't send a replacement. Customer service were expecting me to go and knock on doors as the item had been 'delivered'.Thankfully the kind neighbour up the street dropped it off when I was on the phone.Terrible customer service!

Awful customer service. Argos have recently introduced a DPD drop-off point and the staff are clueless, they don't know how to process a drop-off. I was waiting for 5 minutes for 2 members of staff to figure out how to scan a barcode and then they had to call a third member of staff to sort it out. The staff greeted me with such a polite eye roll, and multiple huffs. One staff member even snatched the parcel off of me and the red calling card ticket off his fellow worker. He then proceeded to say 'who's idea was it to dop DPD around here' under his voice in an angry manner. In the end, the parcel never got picked up and now waiting for it to be returned to me. I was devastated by the customer service, to say the least, not a single smile or welcoming comment just looks of disgust. Awful.
