I don't know what's happened to this branch recently. The SmartShop checkouts have rarely worked on my last few visits and staff levels on the checkouts are totally inadequate causing long queues.On my recent visit, they were working, but a QR code appeared on my phone telling me I needed a rescan and I was told I needed to queue up for a regular checkout (where there were two slow customers ahead of me). Then all card payments stopped working. As I had to pick up my elderly father from the hospital, I didn't have time to hang around until it was fixed, so had to leave without any shopping. Not impressed.

If you love wasting time queuing this is your store. ? This was my go to store for 12 years. What was a great shopping experience has been ruined by a ridiculous trolley self service system. Queues are always long at my last and my final visit 3 of the trolley self service units weren?t working there were only 2 members of staff on hand when 4 or more were needed ? they were obviously working hard but overstretched . I counted 5 red lights on as people waited for them to sort out errors- and all the normal regular checkouts had 6 and more people with trolleys which were blocking the ends of the shopping aisles it was as busy as Christmas Eve mid weekIve since been shopping elsewhere who ever designed and tested this system got it wrong ?. You?ve just lost at least one loyal customer and my £9000 a year grocery spend will be going elsewhere ?. No point complaining about the delays as every staff member is being told this by a queue of disgruntled shoppers they simply shrug their shoulders and agree ?????because they have heard it multiple times that day ? a shame and a management fiasco

It is convenient place to do daily shopping. Big car park with good quality food. Just the staff with a trolly of stacked boxes should not always block the way of customers. And working as customer service, staff should be more professional to let customer choose the items first instead of pushing in.Update: I visited the lady toilet several times over the last year. It has awful smell. The toilet used to be so clean, with a vase of fresh flowers by the sink. It smelled nice, too. Now it is bad.

Bought a gammon for Christmas on 21st December. Unfortunately didn?t look at the sell buy date. Opened it on Christmas morning and it was rotten. When I looked at the sell by date it said USE BY 19th December. Sainsbury?s actually selling old meat!

Bless staff seem tierd of engaging with customers and avoid taking you to anything when asking where it is in store, but it is Christmas and they were very clearly overwhelmed

Not many staffed checkouts now- it's mostly do-it-yourself with constant hold-ups as the process is so slow and janky. The very few staff around to assist at these serve-yourself tills aren't keeping up with demand and look sick of it.

Not a great experience today as would be expected due to Christmas shoppers with Christmas eve being in 2 days. Choice of clothing over last weeks not so great in choice. However, the staff are very helpful and very pleasant. Parking places were easily available .

The shop was freezing cold, apparently heating system was broken!!Staff were so cold their lips and hands were blue!!Couldnt really shop due to coldness

Big supermarket, therefore lots of choice, including clothing, stationary,& small electrical stuff.Does have Sushi bar, but no fresh fish counter.I do like the savings on selected items, if you have a nectar card.The reduction comes off when you swipe the card.
