Wonderful shop in town. Has most of the things you'll need and if not in stock will be delivered to the store on your behalf very quickly. Helpful staff.

Had really good customer service New Years Day from Adam. I was looking at Toasters looking for a four slot. I hadn?t even turned round when he asked if he could help. He then informed me that the last one had been sold and I could order online. I asked about the two slot toasters and how wide the slots were even before I?d finished asking he?d opened the box and was showing me the product. I decided to buy it and he carried it to the till area for me while I bought some other products. When I got back to the till area he picked up my toaster and took me to the other till area to pay. He was absolutely amazing and what a gentleman.

A really good selection of housewares, small electrical appliances, gardening products, kitchenware, etc at very competitive prices. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and the shop clean and tidy. Rarely is there empty shelf space from poor stock control. Despite having relatively little floor space in comparison to larger out of town homeware stores they still manage to provide a very good range of items.
Robert Dyas is one of those stores that has existed for so long that it's practically an institution, much as Woolworths used to be. Thankfully, unlike Woolworths they survived their financial crisis in 2009. Perhaps because of its long standing presence on the High Street, I find that it can be easy to forget it as an option and try other places first, which invariably leads to disappointment and only then discover that the shopping trip would've been much quicker if this shop had been my first port of call instead. One day I'll learn!
